The NYSC 2026 calendar is the official schedule that guides the organization’s activities for the service year, often summarized in the 2026 NYSC timetable released for each batch. It covers everything from internal planning to coordination with schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

NYSC uses this calendar to keep every state on the same track. When institutions upload senate lists or when the mobilization portal opens, those dates are all fixed in line with the calendar’s plan. If there are any changes, it will reflect in the NYSC updated calendar 2026. It’s the structure that keeps the entire scheme running smoothly across the country.

Understanding the NYSC Batch System

If you’ve ever wondered why NYSC mobilizes in different batches and streams, this is where it all makes sense. The batch system is NYSC’s way of organizing the large number of graduates who go for service every year.

Difference Between NYSC Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C

Each service year is divided into three batches namely A, B, and C. The NYSC batches and months 2026 follows the same pattern, with each round of mobilization happening at different times of the year.

Batch A usually kicks off early in the year, often between February and April. Batch B follows around mid-year, while Batch C closes the year, usually between October and December. All the batches go through the same process of registration, deployment, and camping but at different times.

How the NYSC Streams Work and Why They Exist

The batches are further divided into two streams, called Stream 1 and Stream 2. This helps NYSC manage the number of corps members going to camp at once. Each stream has its own camp date even though they both belong to the same batch.

Batch C – (Stream 2)
Note: The 2025 Batch C Stream 2 was pushed into the new year, so it will be the first NYSC mobilization in 2026.

When is the next batch for NYSC in 2026?

The next batch of NYSC in 2026 is the Batch C Stream 2 of 2025. This is a spillover from the previous year that has to be cleared first in the new year. The NYSC management hasn’t released the official timetable yet but based on the first mobilization in the previous year, it usually begins very early in January. This means Batch C Stream 2 will be going to camp in January 2026.

Once NYSC announces the registration and camp dates on their verified social media handle, this page will be updated with the confirmed details.

How NYSC Decides the Calendar Dates

The NYSC calendar is planned with the larger national landscape in view. Before any dates are approved, the management reviews Nigeria’s yearly schedule to avoid overlap with major events. Political activities, holidays, and major religious observances all play big roles in shaping the final timetable.

For instance, orientation camps are never held during elections, Easter, Ramadan, Eid ul-Adha, or Christmas. These are periods that hold deep national or religious significance, and NYSC deliberately respects them to maintain balance and harmony across the country.

Once those sensitive dates are mapped out, the rest of the year’s program is arranged to give each batch enough time for mobilization and camping.

What Comes After the Calendar Dates

Once NYSC releases the calendar, what follows is preparation and enforcement. The schedule becomes the official guide for every activity that follows, from senate list uploads to camp openings.

For prospective corps members, this is the time to get ready and follow the NYSC mobilization updates closely. Ensure your documents are in order and prepare for the next NYSC registration and deployment to camp.

The calendar gives structure, but it’s your readiness that keeps you on track when the next NYSC mobilization begins.

📌 Bonus: Message on Whatsapp to process your medical fitness certificate. It is a compulsory requirement for camp registration.

Common Questions About the NYSC Calendar 2026

Here are some of the questions PCMs usually ask and how it impacts the mobilization process.

Is the NYSC calendar 2026 available to the public?

Not officially. NYSC doesn’t publish the calendar for public view. It’s for internal management of the scheme. What they release instead are official timetables for each batch, which reflect portions of the yearly calendar. So, while you may not find a document titled NYSC 2026 Calendar on their website, the information becomes public gradually through these timetables and official updates.

Is the NYSC Calendar the same as the Mobilization Timetable?

No, they’re not the same. The NYSC calendar 2026 provides a broad overview of all activities for the service year, while the NYSC mobilization timetable focuses on specific dates and steps for each batch and stream. In short, the timetable is the detailed version of the calendar.

How many batches does NYSC have per year?

NYSC mobilizes graduates in three batches every year (Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C). Each batch is further divided into two streams to help manage the number of corps members reporting to camp at once.

When is the next NYSC batch?

The next batch for NYSC is 2025 Batch C Stream 2, which comes after the NYSC current batch, 2025 Batch C Stream 1. This is expected to start in January 2026, though the exact date will be confirmed in the official NYSC mobilization timetable once released.

Is there any difference between Stream 1 and Stream 2?

Not really. Both belong to the same batch and follow the same process. The only difference is in their camping and passing-out dates.

How long does the NYSC orientation camp last?

The NYSC orientation course lasts for 21 days. This is the standard NYSC camp schedule used nationwide. During that period, corps members go through paramilitary drills, lectures, and social activities that prepare them for the service year ahead.

How can I confirm my batch and stream?

NYSC does not assign batches ahead of time. You become eligible for a batch once your name appears on the NYSC Senate List portal. For foreign-trained graduates, eligibility begins after evaluation by the Federal Ministry of Education. Your batch and stream will be displayed on your NYSC dashboard after registration.

Can the dates on the NYSC 2026 calendar change?

Yes. NYSC sometimes adjusts the calendar based on national events or internal planning. Any changes to the NYSC Calendar 2026 will be updated on this website as soon as it’s confirmed.

How do I stay updated on changes to the NYSC calendar 2026?

Follow official NYSC channels and credible news platforms that quote verified sources. Avoid WhatsApp or Telegram broadcasts that share dates without linking to reliable sources.

Can I register for NYSC after clocking 30 years?

You can register as long as your details is on the senate list. However, your eligibility for active service depends on your age at graduation. NYSC uses your date of birth on JAMB and your graduation date on the Senate List to determine eligibility. If you graduated before turning 30, you can still serve even if you’re now older.

When will NYSC release the 2026 timetable?

The NYSC 2026 mobilization timetable is released shortly before every Batch activities begin. Unlike the full NYSC calendar, which isn’t made public, the mobilization timetable is always published on the NYSC website and shared across their verified social media pages.

Pls, regarding the batch c stream 2, according to what u said that there won’t be batch c stream 2, that we will be going to be in batch A, like we should consider ourselves as batch A
My question is this. Does it mean that the request for Nerd registration will be imply (affect) to us? Though I’ve registered since September but wasn’t given call up number..
We that has registered this year, when we finally go with batch A, are they going to request for the Nerd registration?

  4. Hello

I registered with Batch B stream 2, I haven’t gotten a call up number yet, and I’m unable to login to my dashboard. An error message which says registration is closed, you cannot edit/continue your registration. My registration is complete and I’ve also made the payment. What could be the problem please?

    1. There are many people experiencing that but we don’t know why that is happening. It’s most likely a glitch from NYSC so there’s no need to worry. They’ll fix it whenever they are ready.

  5. Hi local Man

I saw a screenshot you posted on the WhatsApp channel regarding those that were deployed with C1 but didn’t go to camp.

I learned that revalidation won’t be needed.

So I wanted to ask: are we going to be given a different call up number.?

  6. Abdulrahman Opeyemi

Hello, please I did relocation to lagos but I was among those that were deployed to Ogun state. Are we getting our ppa letter on our dashboard or we have to go to Ogun state Secretariat for it??

    1. Depends on what you were told during documentation at the Ogun NYSC secretariat. Normally though, the PPA is uploaded on the dashboard of PCMs but you can check back if nothing shows after 2 two weeks.

  7. Precious Chukwunonso

Pls I lost my school ID card, and from my research on essential documents for camp orientation I noticed it was included. Is there alternative to that in place of my school ID card

  8. Good morning Sir. Trust u had an amazing Night.

Please sir I need clarity on this sir 🙏… My school made a mistake on my graduation date on my senate list while I wanted to register I was unable to check d senate list not until the deadline for registration so I was advise to register it like that then go back to my school so they can correct it. I have done all that now and the school said they will correct it. I jst want ask will the portal be open for correction before call up number will be given the reason I asked is my school is not a serious school and I dont want to miss the next batch. I will work with your answer sir so I can know when to travel down to school again to disturb them

  9. Good morning Local man

I registered for Nysc in November and I was given call up letter but I did not go for camp or service. So I want to ask if I will do revalidation to go for camp in this batch C stream 2 or will I have to wait until portal opens in batch A

    1. If the next deployment were for a different batch (say Batch A), then revalidation would be required.

But since Stream 2 is still within the same batch you were originally deployed, you don’t need to do anything. Just check your dashboard when call-up letters are released for Batch C Stream 2. If you’re given another call-up letter, all good for you. If not, you will wait to revalidate with 2026 Batch A.

  10. Good morning sir please is it true that Nysc will release call up numbers for C2 on the 8-12 of January and camp opens on the 21st?

  11. Please add me to your WhatsApp group for more information

  13. Good afternoon sir, I registered for the batch c stream 2 which will be going in January but I noticed an error on my date of birth, I heard that I can only effect the correction on the portal when it is open for registration, will the portal be open for new registration this January, if yes, how can I take advantage of that to effect the correction

  14. Good afternoon local man.

  15. Good afternoon sir…pls during my mobilization for 2026 Batch A, I noticed that one letter in my name is missing in my jamb admission letter and in my BSC certificate.

My officer in student affairs said I should start correcting it now but it’s taking too long. By the first week of January, I should have finished making the correction in my BSC certificate. As for jamb, they are telling me to wait till 6 weeks before my name would be corrected there.

I’m afraid mobilisation may end without me sorting these issues out completely..Do u advise I should still go on with the mobilisation?

My name is Jennifer Olulu Aforkeoghene, h is missing in Aforkeoghene

  16. There was a mistake on my jamb DOB instead of 6/9/1999 it was 2/9/1995 and i have paid for the correction of DOB since 2021 after i gained admission but the change was not effected and my graduation date was 15/9/2025 which according to whats on jamb i am over 30yrs at the time of graduation.

      1. I used my NECO for my School admission process, and i did not even know how to go about my Waec result ut been long i never kept it since i didn’t use it,please is there anyway i can be able to retrieve my waec details?

  17. Good morning sir

  18. Chukwuemeka Blessed Igbokwe-Azogu

Good evening sir, I wanted to know is it possible any connection I can pay to do my physical verification, because it’s stressful and fair of trvavling to outside states.

  19. Hello, Good morning local man

After successfull remobilization, I received a new call up number, and posted to a different state.

    1. Can I report to the state now or I’ve to wait till the current corps members come out from camp?

    2. Is it possible to relocate to another state now (as absconded) that I’m remobilized?

    Thank you sir

    1. Unfortunately, I don’t have the knowledge to guide remobilized corps members. That is the reason why I don’t talk about it. I focus on PCMs majorly. You are better off going to the nearest NYSC secretariat for information.

  20. Please I have a challenge,
I registered for Batch A 2025, and I was moved to stream 2, when I got my call up letter, I downloaded and saved on my phone, I could not go cos of work, my phone was stolen and now I want to apply for revalidation and they are asking for those details in the previous mobilisation, please what do I do?
Or should I just wait for the registration and register?

  21. Please I am not offending you, explain to me in details.
If I abscond from service because of my job, and nysc says I would pay them back after 3months of absent. Is it instant any payment I received from my employer into my bank that NYSC will deduct without my approval to the bank.
Thank you for always been there for us

  22. good day Sir.

sir, my ssce certificate has 2 names on it, but every of my other documents has 3 names, will this affect me during nysc runs?

and i already enrolled on the NERD platform earlier this month, meanwhile PCMs for 2026 have been told to hold off on anything related to NERD until jan 6, 2026. Will this be a problem for me?

although I haven’t submitted my project yet.

    1. No Raymond, the name on your O’Level certificate won’t be a problem. As for the NERD enrollment, you don’t need to bother it. They have people in your category in their plan as well.

      1. Good afternoon sir
I registered at Batch B 2025 and which I was given a call up letter but I couldn’t get to register at camp because of differences in date of graduation in call up letter and school certificate but now I already corrected it and I revalidated at Batch C 1 2025 and I wasn’t given a call up number nor call up letter,
Pls do I still stand a chance of going to camp at this coming January Batch C2 2026

      1. I was called up for Batch B, i didn’t go buh I revalidated when Batch C came up buh didn’t get a call up number, do you think I might get a call up number for C stream 2?
