How Does the NYSC Batches Work?

The batch system is NYSC’s way of organizing the large number of graduates who go for service every year. If you’ve ever wondered why NYSC mobilizes in different batches and streams, this is where it all makes sense.

Difference Between NYSC Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C

Each service year is divided into three batches namely A, B, and C. The NYSC batches and months 2026 follows the same pattern, with each round of mobilization happening at different times of the year.

Batch A usually kicks off early in the year, often between February and April. Batch B follows around mid-year, while Batch C closes the year, usually between October and December. All the batches go through the same process of registration, deployment, and camping but at different times.

How the NYSC Streams Work and Why They Exist

The batches are further divided into two streams, called Stream 1 and Stream 2. This helps NYSC manage the number of corps members going to camp at once. Each stream has its own camp date even though they both belong to the same batch.

Understanding how the batch and stream system works helps you plan better. You’ll know when to expect mobilization and how to follow the updates that apply to your batch.

When is the next batch for NYSC in 2026?

The orientation camp will open on the 10th of June 2026 for Batch B Stream 1. This is a credible inside information which is yet to be made public by NYSC on the mobilization timetable.

How NYSC Decides the Calendar Dates

The NYSC calendar is planned with the larger national landscape in view. Before any dates are approved, the management reviews Nigeria’s yearly schedule to avoid overlap with major events. Political activities, holidays, and major religious observances all play big roles in shaping the final timetable.

For instance, orientation camps are never held during elections, Easter, Ramadan, Eid ul-Adha, or Christmas. These are periods that hold deep national or religious significance, and NYSC deliberately respects them to maintain balance and harmony across the country.

Once those sensitive dates are mapped out, the rest of the year’s program is arranged to give each batch enough time for mobilization and camping.

What Comes After the Calendar Dates

Once NYSC releases the calendar, what follows is preparation and enforcement. The schedule becomes the guide for every activity that follows, from senate list uploads to camp openings.

For prospective corps members, this is the time to get ready and follow the NYSC mobilization updates closely. Ensure your documents are in order and prepare for the next NYSC registration and deployment to camp.

The calendar gives structure, but it’s your readiness that keeps you on track when the next NYSC mobilization begins.

📌 Bonus: Message on Whatsapp to process your medical fitness certificate. It is a compulsory requirement for camp registration.

Good evening Local man,I am a married PCM from kubwa Abuja, during the registration last week we are giving a form to write our ppa and I wrote Abuja area council bwari because it’s close to my house but I later have a NGO sector who is ready to accept corper in town,so I don’t know if there’s a way to change my pa

  2. Sir, please, i have this issue
My name is on the matriculation list, and I have my admission letter..
But I’ve been unable to mobilised
Ny name on my school tally with the jamb profile but not with nin and when I went to school to check internal list..it says jamb reg not found

  3. Please, I registered for NYSC in March and then about a week later, I noticed a mistake on my name. So I applied for name correction, and till now, it’s still under review. And I haven’t gotten call up number since. Meanwhile, people I registered with had gotten theirs and are already in camp now.
So I don’t know if I have to do something or just wait?

    1. Please Local man, how long does it takes to get NYSC Exemption certificate after registration and application online?

  4. Okechukwu Gabriel Ikenna

A question on name arrangement : My name on my HND result, ID card & Nysc dashboard is like this :-
    Okechukwu Gabriel Ikenna

But the one in my ND, NIN and BVN is Okechukwu Ikenna Gabriel

  5. Good morning sir… Pls I’m having challenges with my name spelling, I did the correction during registration since march 13th but it has not reflected in my portal yet. I dunno if there’s any other thing I can do for it to reflect cos I’m hearing that those with discrepancy in names will not be allowed for registration in camp nd I dunno if it’s going to affect me too

  6. Good morning sir
I registered last year and I was given callup leter in April batch A2 but I could not report to camp because I was sick. Right now I cannot access my dashboard and I do not know if I have to register again

  7. Oghiadomhe miracle

    Good morning sir
I would like your advice please 🙏. I noticed after my nysc registration that my state of origin was automatically showing a wrong state ( lagos ) . I was told the mistake was coming from NIN, and I made a correction, which has reflected . I just want to ask if this correction will reflect on my nysc before my call-up number is given to me ?
Someone told me state of origin is gotten from jamb but my jamb state is correct sir. I am worried because I want to do direct posting to lagos sir

    1. The state of origin used by NYSC is fetched from the JAMB profile of PCMs, not NIN. If you believe there is an error here, you can visit the NYSC secretariat in your state of residence for complaints.

  8. Muhammed Suleiman

Hello sir, good evening. I’m in your channel and wanted to seek clarification on an issue that may affect me later. My date of birth on my NIN is different from the one on my BVN. The BVN date of birth is incorrect due to an input error. I already applied for a BVN date-of-birth correction in 2021, but it was mistakenly entered wrongly again, and since BVN date-of-birth correction can only be done once, I can no longer correct it. Because of this mismatch between my NIN and BVN details, I understand that opening a new bank account may return an error. Please, how can I handle this situation when it is time to create a bank account during NYSC camp?

  9. Hello Good morning boss
Please I want to know whether someone can register NERDC for another person if they are not together, and then send it to the person to print out. Or is it compulsory for both people to meet physically during the registration process?

  10. Good evening, I am posted to Taraba but I won’t be able to report to camp, is it possible I go with the next batch, or I will need to wait for fresh registration for Re validation

  11. Good evening Local man. My graduation date on my green card, statement and other documents carried 03/31/2024

My original certificate carried 03/2024 am I safe. Is it something to worry about?

  12. Good day localman
pls I was deployed to Lagos State but I’ll be doing my orientation camp at Osun State if I want to carry a request letter for my PPA who do I address it to the state coordinator of Lagos or the state connector of osun state

  13. Good afternoon sir, please I have gotten call up number since last batch A stream 2 but I didn’t get call up letter, the call up in this batch is still the same but I can’t access my portal, it keeps showing registration has ended and I don’t know what to do

    1. That’s NYSC’s way of punishing you for not reporting in camp the last time you were posted. Be patient for next batch, they will allow you access to your dashboard eventually.

  14. Good morning, please is there a reason a person won’t be given call up letter even after meeting all the criteria and the registration went well, cause I have been waiting since beginning of this year and still nothing.

  15. This has been frustrating me since. All my other documents have my 3 names but my Nysc dashboard and senate list is showing just 2 names. I have already finished registration b4 I noticed this and so I couldn’t go to camp when I was posted. I have gone to my school severally but they said they will write to Nysc to bring my details down so that school can remobilize me again and my 3 names will appear. This last time I went to school, student affairs said I should login and check, I logged in but all my details were still there even till now, nothing changed, nothing was brought down, and no valid reply from student affairs.

Now a friend Is telling me to go to camp like that with my two names showing on the dashboard but that I should go and get court affidavit, please I want to know, will I be accepted? I need your experienced opinion.

    Will affidavit solve the issue?

    1. I’m waiting for the next NYSC Batch but please I want you to help out.

      The name on my NIN

      is OKORO CHIBUIKE IKECHUKWU,

But the one on my school documents from JAMB to University is

OKORO CHIBUIKE IKEJAH, but I’m yet to collect my statement of result.

So please, if it’s going to affect me, which one will be easier to change?

Another one is for my friend.

      On her NIN, It’s

      OKONKWO MIRACLE CHINENYE

but on her statement of result, it’s

      OKONKWO CHINEYE MIRACLE

For her, it’s just an interchange. So please is it going to affect her too?

      1. I’ll advise you correct your name on NIN by replacing the wrong name. Your friend’s name arrangement is not really a big deal but I’ll rearrange it on NIN if I were her.

  16. Good morning local man.
When should we be expecting call up number and letter. How i wish date for all activities are updated here

  17. My middle name had an extra letter during my NYSC registration in school , I asked for correction of name on the portal since batch A 2 . I haven’t been given callup number yet do you think the name is the issue or NYSC chose to post to a different batch

Because I’m pregnant and somehow impossible to travel far.

  20. I registered for nysc last year,I was supposed to go with 2026 batch A but I couldn’t because of personal issues

I already have a call up number, can I still use that for 2026 batch B or is there a process I need to go through like re registration or something like that

  21. Musiliudeen Opeyemi

Why has Nysc refuse to release more call up number for PCMS or what should when should we expect to receive the call up number

  22. Good morning sir
Please l went to print out my adendum and other documents at the cyber cafe but when the man logged into my dashboard normally the adendum it’s supposed to pop out but there was nothing there
    Please what do I do

  23. Good evening local man I hope you are doing well please I wanted to ask I recently checked my NYSCportal and noticed that on my Green Card, my graduation session is showing as “0 – 0” instead of the correct years.Since I am expected to join the upcoming batch commencing on June 10, I am a bit concerned and would like to know if there is anything I can do about it

  24. I changed my name in University and my Statement of result and every other document i have carries the new name in the same order, but my school ID card still has the old name, will that be a problem in camp?

  25. Please can one arrive in camp A day before the commencement of registration.

Like since camp registration is starting on Wednesday, can PCM arrive on Tuesday..? (A day before the commencement)

For someone travelling from far and trying to arrive on time.

Please I’m asking this for a friend…. She did part time in Ambrose Ali University, she graduated 2013 but have not yet registered for NYSC, though she said she was given a temporary exemption letter then which she has been using, but now she really want to get the original exemption letter, please how can she get her exemption letter?🙏

  31. Good morning Local Man!

In respect to Change of DOB, I didn’t use my WAEC to process my administration or do documentation for Degree Program. Will it be effective if I buy WAEC verification PIN?

The reason I am asking is because I heard before now that it could only be possible if you used your WAEC result in processing your administration. I don’t know how true that was/is.

    Thank you Sir.

  32. Hello Local man.

    Please o, about Nerd?
