Detailed NYSC Calendar 2026 layout with dates arranged in rows and a pen for marking important service activities.

Overview of the NYSC Calendar 2026

The NYSC 2026 calendar is the official schedule that guides the organization’s activities for the service year, often summarized in the 2026 NYSC timetable released for each batch. It covers everything from internal planning to coordination with schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

NYSC uses this calendar to keep every state on the same track. When institutions upload senate lists or when the mobilization portal opens, those dates are all fixed in line with the calendar’s plan. If there are any changes, it will reflect in the NYSC updated calendar 2026. It’s the structure that keeps the entire scheme running smoothly across the country.

Why the NYSC 2026 Calendar Matters for PCMs

For prospective corps members, this calendar is like a compass. It helps you know what to expect, when to expect it, and how to plan ahead. Understanding it saves you from the misinformation that often spreads before every mobilization. The calendar for NYSC 2026 also helps you prepare early for documentation, registration, and travel.

Understanding the NYSC Batch System

If you’ve ever wondered why NYSC mobilizes in different batches and streams, this is where it all makes sense. The batch system is NYSC’s way of organizing the large number of graduates who go for service every year.

Difference Between NYSC Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C

Each service year is divided into three batches namely A, B, and C. The NYSC batches and months 2026 follows the same pattern, with each round of mobilization happening at different times of the year.

Batch A usually kicks off early in the year, often between February and April. Batch B follows around mid-year, while Batch C closes the year, usually between October and December. All the batches go through the same process of registration, deployment, and camping but at different times.

How the NYSC Streams Work and Why They Exist

The batches are further divided into two streams, called Stream 1 and Stream 2. This helps NYSC manage the number of corps members going to camp at once. Each stream has its own camp date even though they both belong to the same batch.

When is the next batch for NYSC in 2026?

The next batch of NYSC 2026 is Batch C Stream 2 of 2025. The management hasn’t released the official timetable yet but based on the first mobilization of the previous year, it usually begins very early in January. Once NYSC announces the registration and camp dates on their verified social media handle, this page will be updated with the confirmed details.

How NYSC Decides the Calendar Dates

The NYSC calendar is planned with the larger national landscape in view. Before any dates are approved, the management reviews Nigeria’s yearly schedule to avoid overlap with major events. Political activities, holidays, and major religious observances all play big roles in shaping the final timetable.

For instance, orientation camps are never held during elections, Easter, Ramadan, Eid ul-Adha, or Christmas. These are periods that hold deep national or religious significance, and NYSC deliberately respects them to maintain balance and harmony across the country.

Once those sensitive dates are mapped out, the rest of the year’s program is arranged to give each batch enough time for mobilization and camping.

What Comes After the Calendar Dates

Once NYSC releases the calendar, what follows is preparation and enforcement. The schedule becomes the official guide for every activity that follows, from senate list uploads to camp openings.

For prospective corps members, this is the time to get ready and follow the NYSC mobilization updates closely. Ensure your documents are in order and prepare for the next NYSC registration and deployment to camp.

The calendar gives structure, but it’s your readiness that keeps you on track when the next NYSC mobilization begins.

📌 Bonus: Message on Whatsapp to process your medical fitness certificate. It is a compulsory requirement for camp registration.

Fake NYSC updates usually circulate fast, especially on WhatsApp groups. Before believing any date or timetable, check if there’s an official memo or NYSC has made an announcement. Genuine updates always appear on the NYSC website or verified social handles.

Everyone wants to be the first to break the news. If a source sounds too urgent, uses poor grammar, or lacks a direct link to NYSC, it’s best to ignore it. Staying informed is good, but staying discerning is better.

Common Questions About the NYSC Calendar 2026

Here are some of the questions PCMs usually ask and how it impacts the mobilization process.

Is the NYSC calendar 2026 available to the public?

Not officially. NYSC doesn’t publish the calendar for public view. It’s for internal management of the scheme. What they release instead are official timetables for each batch, which reflect portions of the yearly calendar. So, while you may not find a document titled NYSC 2026 Calendar on their website, the information becomes public gradually through these timetables and official updates.

Is the NYSC Calendar the same as the Mobilization Timetable?

No, they’re not the same. The NYSC calendar 2026 provides a broad overview of all activities for the service year, while the NYSC mobilization timetable focuses on specific dates and steps for each batch and stream. In short, the timetable is the detailed version of the calendar.

How many batches does NYSC have per year?

NYSC mobilizes graduates in three batches every year (Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C). Each batch is further divided into two streams to help manage the number of corps members reporting to camp at once.

When is the next NYSC batch?

The next batch for NYSC is 2025 Batch C Stream 2, which comes after the NYSC current batch, 2025 Batch C Stream 1. This is expected to start in January 2026, though the exact date will be confirmed in the official NYSC mobilization timetable once released.

Is there any difference between Stream 1 and Stream 2?

Not really. Both belong to the same batch and follow the same process. The only difference is in their camping and passing-out dates.

When will the next NYSC orientation camp open?

How long does the NYSC orientation camp last?

The NYSC orientation course lasts for 21 days. This is the standard NYSC camp schedule used nationwide. During that period, corps members go through paramilitary drills, lectures, and social activities that prepare them for the service year ahead.

How can I confirm my batch and stream?

NYSC does not assign batches ahead of time. You become eligible for a batch once your name appears on the NYSC Senate List portal. For foreign-trained graduates, eligibility begins after evaluation by the Federal Ministry of Education. Your batch and stream will be displayed on your NYSC dashboard after registration.

Can the dates on the NYSC 2026 calendar change?

Yes. NYSC sometimes adjusts the calendar based on national events or internal planning. Any changes to the NYSC Calendar 2026 will be updated on this website as soon as it’s confirmed.

How do I stay updated on changes to the NYSC calendar 2026?

Follow official NYSC channels and credible news platforms that quote verified sources. Avoid WhatsApp or Telegram broadcasts that share dates without linking to reliable sources.

Can I register for NYSC after clocking 30 years?

You can register as long as your details is on the senate list. However, your eligibility for active service depends on your age at graduation. NYSC uses your date of birth on JAMB and your graduation date on the Senate List to determine eligibility. If you graduated before turning 30, you can still serve even if you’re now older.

When will NYSC release the 2026 timetable?

The NYSC 2026 mobilization timetable is released shortly before every Batch activities begin. Unlike the full NYSC calendar, which isn’t made public, the mobilization timetable is always published on the NYSC website and shared across their verified social media pages.

  1. Good evening local man,
Please my names arrangement on my Statement of results was interchanged,
(My middle name was used as surname and my surname as middle name) please will this be a problem for me when clearing in camp?

    1. You ought to complain to your school now that there’s still time to change it. The name correction option on your dashboard only applies to errors on the senate list.

  2. Please I need your clarification on this..
I wish to register next month November for the upcoming NYSC but I want to follow the Batch C stream 2 possibly on January/February,how do I make that possible?

    1. The batch or stream to follow isn’t in your power to control. This is because NYSC has a mind of its own. They can decide to deploy you to camp when you register, or shift you to another batch or stream. You’ll find out when the time comes.

      1. Hi local man.
What if I registered for this upcoming NYSC and possibly got a call up number but I then ignored it because I had in mind to go with batch C2 on Jan/Feb, would it be possible to reschedule it to then?🥺🙂

  3. Please I have listen to your voice message on the WhatsApp group .

My name on my Certificates is ” okoro uche Mark”

But on my IT completion certificate is” uche Vincent Mark ” will it be a issue?

    1. Sorry I made a mistake when typing the first question.
All certificates names : okoro uche mark

My IT completion certificate : uche Mark Okoro.

Will this be a challenge during camp registrations?

  4. Good afternoon Local man,
So I have a place in mind to serve.
I intend to serve with C1.
Is there anything I have to do or any document I have to submit during registration or take along to camp in order to be posted directly to my preferred state/PPA.

I don’t wish to go through the stress of rejection letter and appealing to different offices

However if there’s nothing I can do atm please let me know. Thank you

  5. Hello Local man, regarding the Nerd certificate. Will I also be needing it, if I have already registered with batch B but awaiting call up number?. My name came out last year on the Senate list but I recently registered with the current Batch B.

  6. Please, Sir
I made a mistake on the arrangements of my name in the portal.
I used the opportunity that was provided to affect the change while registering for NYSC.
    But it was wrong.
Please, what is the way out?

Will it affect me in camp?

  7. Good evening, local man,

I have a concerning question to ask, and this may also help others in my situation

I used Oluafemi Ibrahim on my documents, but my nin has Oluafemi Ibrahim Adesina .

Will that affect me? How do I rectify it? Please sir, I need to know I am confused with the answers I am getting from different people

  8. Okechukwu Shedrach

Except jamb which is 04/14/1994 I graduated on August which is 4months after my birthday, any hope for the NYSC batch C 1

  9. Good evening sir
All my documents bears only 2 names except my NIN that has my three names complete, but I’ve done Affidavit and news paper publication for inclusion of the third name. will it affect my registration?

  10. Johnson Feranmi Samuel

    Hello sir
    Good afternoon and happy Sunday.

Please sir, I submitted my documents and paid for NYSC mobilisation since early May but I couldn’t go for the subsequent service or do registration because my name wasn’t submitted to NYSC. Now, my name is among the Internal mobilization of the senate list. My question is that, is there hope that I would do the next registration and go for service next month?

    1. Good afternoon Fernami. Since your name is already on your school’s internal senate list, it means your school has finally prepared your record for NYSC upload. Once NYSC opens the senate list upload portal and your school forwards it, your name will reflect on the official NYSC senate list.

After that, you’ll be able to register for the next batch and proceed to camp next month if all goes well. So yes, you’re on track. Just keep checking your name on the NYSC senate list portal once uploads begin.

  11. Abubakar Bolakale Babaita

Good evening Local Man. How was your day hope is not stressful may Almighty Allah will continue to bless you. Please about the name arrangements you explain to us in your WhatsApp channel in my certificate both OND and HND my name was writing as Abubakar Bolakale Babaita but I was mobilize by Babaita Abubakar Bolakale in my Nysc portal though Babaita is my surname but my portal didn’t show rearrangement of name hope there won’t be any issue in camp please 🙏

  12. Local man please when are we going to hear anything from our school cuz them said Dem don’t know anything about the nerd stuff

And is there going to be a shifting in this batch c stream 1

  13. Please I just checked my jamb profile then I noticed my name on school is a little bit different.
    Like OLAMITUBOSUN on jamb
    But school has “n” OLAMITUNBOSUN
Please is this going to be an issue and if yes, how can I rectify it to avoid issues

  14. Please I just checked my jamb profile then I noticed my name on school is a little bit different.
    Like OLAMITUBOSUN on jamb
    But school has “n” OLAMITUNBOSUN
Please is this going to be an issue and if yes, how can I rectify it to avoid issues

  15. Hello. I already registered for nysc September hoping to have gone with this current corpers in camp but didn’t see my call up letter
I am currently pregnant, will deliver soon but the problem am having is that the November 19 the next batch are going to camp.i
    I might have deliver
l: Please is there a way I can not go to camp and present my medical report.
: Or will I have to show up myself with the baby??
    My second question is that.
    Av registered for nysc
Will I be needing the final year project for the camp registration or we are exempted from it
    With the nerd.
Third question: can we chose where we will like to do our ppa ourselves

    1. On the first question, you don’t have to go with stream 1 if you’re deployed. You can revalidate with the next available batch that is comfortable for you.

About the NERD compliance, please follow whatever directives given by your school.

  16. Solomon Oluchi Francisca

I’ve been following your channel for a while now (while processing my clearance), and I just mobilized. This is where I’m lost and confused on what to do next.
I know that it’s to wait for senate list from my school but what next after that?

Also, the guy that did my clearance sent me an information on the NERD and the message says PCMs are to upload their final year project. What I understood from your voice note on the channel is that the schools are to upload it or so. Please, help for clarity.

    Thank you 🙏

  17. Hello

    Please I checked my Bvn
It carried only my surname and my first name.
My nin carries the full name same as all of my remaining documents

Pls do I have any issue?

    And
My date of birth certificate carries
    Taiwo Tolulope Demilade

But all other documents even citizenship carried

Taiwo Demilade Tolulope (same as my school info, jamb and others )

    Is there any issue?

  18. Good morning local man
Have done my clearance since early this year and have been mobilized and am waiting for senate list so that I can register for Nysc batch c

So now the question is with the development of Nerd project stuffs and all us it going to afffect me or not
I mean I will have to submit mine as well cause have graduated since 2023/24 set
Pls kindly reply me local man

  19. Please local man, I registered last batch and I haven’t received call up number yet, is there any possibility that I will receive it?

    1. When NYSC doesn’t release your call-up number after registration, it simply means you’ve been shifted to the next stream or batch because the current one was already full. Once the new mobilization starts, you’ll automatically get your call-up number and deployed to camp without having to do anything.

  20. Constance3238@gmail.com

Good morning, Local man. Please, I wanted to find out about the NERD certificate for the next NYSC registration (about final year project). I found out about the news and I’d like to know if it has been implemented or the things I’m supposed to do. Thank you

      1. Please is there’s an error with the spelling of my name. On school portal and jamb portal , just a letter difference
        Is it an issue ?
Like. Moruf and Moruuf, or Abiba and Abibat

  21. Good morning local man,
During my admission I applied to study Animal Health and later on apply to change course of study to Fisheries Technology,
Now graduated, my Jamb admission is bearing Animal Health on Matriculation list while my certificate is bearing Fisheries Technology,
I’m poly student, I had already submitted my documents for mobilization process and yet to added on Senate list, did i going to have problem in my NYSC registration consider to this issue?

    1. Your issue is common. Don’t worry, your school will mobilize your details on the senate list with the correct course of study. That’s all that matters for registration.

  22. Local man.
My ssce result have 3 names and all other of my documents have just two name. Now changing the name on my ssce result is impossible I tried adding one name to jamb which they didn’t approve. And the same name on my jamb caps is what appeared on my kofa.
And when I did my NIN I had no idea that names would be a problem so currently my NIN have 3 names.
And someone advised me to go for removal of name from my NIN. So I wanted to ask for your advice.

    1. There’s no problem here. As long as your names on the senate list, statement of result, and JAMB are the same and clearly identify you, you’re fine. The difference on your SSCE won’t stop you from serving.

  23. I want to ask that on my NIN i have issue of date of birth only the month issue so am asking if it’s necessary for me to correct it and are we using the NIN in camp ?

  24. The NYSC camp opens on the 19th of November, but my ICAN exams are scheduled from the 18th to the 20th of November.

Please, is it possible to request permission or an excuse from the camp officials to enable me to sit for my exams?

  25. Good afternoon sir for me that revalidated due to crucial reasons and have my name already on the senate list. Do I still need to go get my nerd slip from school or?
I’ve been seeing lots of different information regarding this.
    Thank you in advance.

  26. Good evening, Local Man.
I once asked about my NYSC status. I mentioned I’m a 2024 Batch C PCM, my school had mobilized me, and my name was on the Senate list since Batch C 2024. But I hadn’t registered online, so I asked if the NERD policy would affect me. Your reply was:
“Your name on the senate list doesn’t mean you’ve been mobilized. You haven’t even done online registration. The memo was clear: those not mobilized before Oct 6 must upload thesis with NERD.”

    Recently, I saw a similar question from a 2025 Batch A PCM:
“What of those whose names have been on the senate list since Batch A ?should we go back to school for NERD clearance?”
    You replied:
“No. Since your name has been on the senate list since Batch A, you were mobilized before the Oct 6 policy deadline and are exempted.”

Could it be things became clearer after I asked? Or was my question misunderstood? Thanks.

    1. Yes Dara, your observation is correct. The NYSC memo of yesterday informed that last response. It says everyone should report to camp with the NERD clearance slip. While I think it it applies to you, I’d also say you should await update from your school on that policy.

  27. Good evening local man,
Pls i really need your help in confirming something.
I have been trying to do change of name with NIN for a while now, and everytime, they end up with the same story which is that my Validation did not work and I should try again.
I am afraid it might interrupt my registration next month, as my NIN middle name is different from the one on my certificate.

Pls can an affidavit suffice, while I still try to sort out the problem with NIN.

  28. 1. What of those that their names have been on senate list since batch A, are we to go back to our school for the NERD Clearance?

    2. I will like to register for batch C. I need direct posting to Lagos State. How
do I go about it and how much will it cost?

    1. 1. No, you don’t need to go back to your school for NERD clearance. Since your name has been on the senate list since Batch A, you were mobilized before the October 6th policy deadline. That means you’re exempted from the NERD submission requirement.

      2. Join my NYSC WhatsApp Channel so you don’t miss updates on direct posting. You can budget around 100K.

    1. Good evening sir pls how Abt us that can’t find our soft copy can we scan in pdf format to serve as soft copy of our project

  29. Good evening sir
Pls I see your post on the channel concerning the NERD will this affect those that have registered for Nysc or let me say we that want to do revalidation that will be going with Bacth C

    1. No, it won’t affect you. NERD clearance only applies to those who haven’t yet registered and will be mobilized from October 6, 2025. Since you’ve already registered, or will be doing revalidation, you’re exempted. That is just my interpretation though but wait for updates from your school.

  30. Pls sir @LOCAL MAN, are we the one to upload our projects to NERD ourselves or the school cus am curious as i don’t have the soft copy anymore as it was on my former phone but the phone has been stolen.

  31. Concerning the last vn you sent to your platform concerning uploading projects, I have registered already, I was meant to go with batch B stream 2, buh i didn’t go because of the destination, so how do we go bout the project uploading stuff…

  32. Good morning sir
Pls if my date of birth is November 28 1995 and I did my registration with batch C stream 1 before November 19 but now moved to stream 2, will I still serve due to my age?

  33. Good Day local man, please there is an error on my jamb date of birth(Day), but every other details are correct in school record and for mobilisation, will the error on (day) affect my Nysc registeration or senate list?

    1. Good morning Ola. The date of birth on JAMB is what NYSC uses. In this case, the wrong DOB will be placed on your NYSC certificate at the completion of service. If you have the correct date of birth on your WAEC certificate, you can apply for DOB correction on your NYSC dashboard after online registration using WAEC verification pin.

  34. tamunobere dorcas

Good evening sir, am married legally with a valid certificate but I don’t want to do change of name cox I will like to still use my surname for masters and other degrees, my husband and I live in my State of origin is it possible to apply for direct posting to my husband’s state and serve there or can I still apply as a married woman without wanting to serve in the state he lives because I don’t want my name to change or can just one of his name be added to the end oft names since I use just two names

    1. As long as you are registering for NYSC as a married woman, NYSC will change your name to your husband’s. It’s not negotiable.

Concessional posting on the basis of marriage is to your husband’s state of domicile, not just any state you desire. Direct posting is the solution to your dilemma.

  35. Good day Local Man! Thank you for the other response.
Pls, will I be able to take the recapture during online registration for batch c stream 2 in any cafe?
Cos, I’m not close to any NYSC secretariat here, or is there any other way to do that?

    Thank you.

  36. Good evening local man, please there is an error on my jamb date of birth(Day), but every other details are correct in school record and for mobilisation, will the error on (day) affect my Nysc registeration or senate list?

  37. Ibrahim Muhammad Adam

Hello, I go by the name Ibrahim Muhammad Adam a Graduate from Bayero University, Kano and I studied a Combined Program (B.A English/Linguistics), and that our department did not require a final-year project due to the structure of the program (since it combines two courses).

Also, the school has included my name in the internal mobilization list, but our details have not yet been uploaded on the NYSC Senate List Portal.

Now I’m worried whether that will stop me and other my colleagues more than 200 people from going for NYSC, and please what We should do next.

    1. The project requirements for NYSC prospective corps members will be liased with the schools directly, not the students. In this case, your school will handle the situation so there’s no need to worry.

  38. Ekpe Happiness Chinecherem

Good morning sir/ma. Happy New Month. Please I graduated from NOUN and I’m supposed to register for NYSC hence the collection of my exemption letter. So, I want to enquire when the next registration will start so that I can register and then get my exemption letter. Thank you, and God bless you.

  39. I was given call up number and letter this month but I couldn’t go because I was sick plus where I was posted was too far (YOBE STATE) .. so my question is, will I be chosen to a state of my choice if I do direct posting for next batch and is it possible I go for service next batch?. Thank you!

    1. Yes Elijah, it’s possible. Since you already got a call-up but didn’t go, you’ll just do revalidation when the portal opens for the next batch. At that point you can arrange for direct posting again and if it works out, you’ll be deployed to the state of your choice.

  40. Happy new month sir..I did online registration last month and I might be among the batch that will be going to camp next month, the thing is I am relocating to Lagos this month because of work and I don’t know if it’s advisable for me to apply for direct posting… since I have accomodations there

    1. Since you’ve registered already, yes you can still go for direct posting in the next batch when call-up letters are being processed. Your registration details remain valid, but your call-up number will be reassigned once revalidation opens. At that point, you can work your posting to Lagos, especially since you already have accommodation there.

  41. Evening boss!
Sorry for intruding ya privacy without ya permission. I got your number from NYSC 2025 Batch C updates.
I’ve registered for NYSC during B2 2025, but wasn’t given call up number. Thinking it was the issue of capturing cos, I mistakenly close my eyes during the process. Hence, the capturing says successfully.
    So, my question fellows:
Will I be giving call up number?
If yes, can I be able to change the picture while on camp?

    Thank yo and Bless yo.

    1. Yes, you’ll still be given a call-up number in the next batch since you’ve already completed registration. The captured photo during online capture cannot be changed at camp. If you have any reason to believe it will be a problem later, you might want to visit the nearest NYSC secretariat for recapturing.
