It covers everything from internal planning to coordination with schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

NYSC uses this calendar to keep every state on the same track. When institutions upload senate lists or when the mobilization portal opens, those dates are all fixed in line with the calendar’s plan. If there are any changes, it will reflect in the NYSC updated calendar 2026. It’s the structure that keeps the entire scheme running smoothly across the country.

Understanding the NYSC Batch System

If you’ve ever wondered why NYSC mobilizes in different batches and streams, this is where it all makes sense. The batch system is NYSC’s way of organizing the large number of graduates who go for service every year.

Difference Between NYSC Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C

Each service year is divided into three batches namely A, B, and C. The NYSC batches and months 2026 follows the same pattern, with each round of mobilization happening at different times of the year.

Batch A usually kicks off early in the year, often between February and April. Batch B follows around mid-year, while Batch C closes the year, usually between October and December. All the batches go through the same process of registration, deployment, and camping but at different times.

How the NYSC Streams Work and Why They Exist

The batches are further divided into two streams, called Stream 1 and Stream 2. This helps NYSC manage the number of corps members going to camp at once. Each stream has its own camp date even though they both belong to the same batch.

When is the next batch for NYSC in 2026?

The next batch of NYSC 2026 is Batch C Stream 2 of 2025. The management hasn’t released the official timetable yet but based on the first mobilization of the previous year, it usually begins very early in January. Once NYSC announces the registration and camp dates on their verified social media handle, this page will be updated with the confirmed details.

How NYSC Decides the Calendar Dates

The NYSC calendar is planned with the larger national landscape in view. Before any dates are approved, the management reviews Nigeria’s yearly schedule to avoid overlap with major events. Political activities, holidays, and major religious observances all play big roles in shaping the final timetable.

For instance, orientation camps are never held during elections, Easter, Ramadan, Eid ul-Adha, or Christmas. These are periods that hold deep national or religious significance, and NYSC deliberately respects them to maintain balance and harmony across the country.

Once those sensitive dates are mapped out, the rest of the year’s program is arranged to give each batch enough time for mobilization and camping.

What Comes After the Calendar Dates

For prospective corps members, this is the time to get ready and follow the NYSC mobilization updates closely. Ensure your documents are in order and prepare for the next NYSC registration and deployment to camp.

The calendar gives structure, but it’s your readiness that keeps you on track when the next NYSC mobilization begins.

📌 Bonus: Message on Whatsapp to process your medical fitness certificate. It is a compulsory requirement for camp registration.

Common Questions About the NYSC Calendar 2026

Here are some of the questions PCMs usually ask and how it impacts the mobilization process.

Is the NYSC calendar 2026 available to the public?

Not officially. NYSC doesn’t publish the calendar for public view. It’s for internal management of the scheme. What they release instead are official timetables for each batch, which reflect portions of the yearly calendar. So, while you may not find a document titled NYSC 2026 Calendar on their website, the information becomes public gradually through these timetables and official updates.

Is the NYSC Calendar the same as the Mobilization Timetable?

No, they’re not the same. The NYSC calendar 2026 provides a broad overview of all activities for the service year, while the NYSC mobilization timetable focuses on specific dates and steps for each batch and stream. In short, the timetable is the detailed version of the calendar.

How many batches does NYSC have per year?

NYSC mobilizes graduates in three batches every year (Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C). Each batch is further divided into two streams to help manage the number of corps members reporting to camp at once.

When is the next NYSC batch?

The next batch for NYSC is 2025 Batch C Stream 2, which comes after the NYSC current batch, 2025 Batch C Stream 1. This is expected to start in January 2026, though the exact date will be confirmed in the official NYSC mobilization timetable once released.

Is there any difference between Stream 1 and Stream 2?

Not really. Both belong to the same batch and follow the same process. The only difference is in their camping and passing-out dates.

When will the next NYSC orientation camp open?

How long does the NYSC orientation camp last?

The NYSC orientation course lasts for 21 days. This is the standard NYSC camp schedule used nationwide. During that period, corps members go through paramilitary drills, lectures, and social activities that prepare them for the service year ahead.

How can I confirm my batch and stream?

NYSC does not assign batches ahead of time. You become eligible for a batch once your name appears on the NYSC Senate List portal. For foreign-trained graduates, eligibility begins after evaluation by the Federal Ministry of Education. Your batch and stream will be displayed on your NYSC dashboard after registration.

Can the dates on the NYSC 2026 calendar change?

NYSC uses your date of birth on JAMB and your graduation date on the Senate List to determine eligibility. If you graduated before turning 30, you can still serve even if you’re now older.

When will NYSC release the 2026 timetable?

The NYSC 2026 mobilization timetable is released shortly before every Batch activities begin. Unlike the full NYSC calendar, which isn’t made public, the mobilization timetable is always published on the NYSC website and shared across their verified social media pages.

  3. Please, I need some clarification. 🙏

Regarding Batch C registration, are prospective corps members (PCMs) expected to register for their preferred streams?

For example, if I do not intend to go with Stream 1, should I still complete the registration now, or should I wait until Stream 2 registration begins?

Or should I register late for Stream 1 so that I’ll be moved to Stream 2? because I don’t want to wait till Batch A.

    1. I’ve said it many times already, the order of name arrangement is not a problem for NYSC registration. You can apply for name rearrangement on your dashboard after online registration.

  18. Good day sir, please is statement of results needed for the nysc online registration or just for the physical registration in camp?

  19. Is there anything like supplementary Senate list. Because my school have uploaded their list on NYSC portal but my name is not there. I went to school. I asked my desk officer she said my name will come out on supplementaly list , could it mean that they will later include the supplementary list together with batch C stream 1.

  20. Please I was posted during the last batch, but I wasn’t able to report to camp due to some health issues, will they change my call up number after revalidation please

  21. Good day,
    One small issue tho.
I saw my name on the graduation list.
My gender is showing there as F (female)
Na man I be. How can I change it please 🙏

  22. Good morning, Local man
So I registered for my NYSC with the last batch B but I didn’t get a call up number.
Please, is there any action required of me now that Batch C registration is about to start?

    1. Good day sir
Is there a case of those that Categorically did ND PT and switched to HND FT to be ineligible for service?
Because even though we are on the Graduation list I am hearing we are being flagged by NYSC but I dont know how true

  23. I graduated last year and I have collected my statement of result this year August. When the school firstly released names, my name and some of colleagues names were not there. And when they released the second one there names were they and still yet mine is not there. Then, someone sent me link to check the portal to see if my name is not and it is not there also and I have not clocked 30 and we are not ip to 30 that graduated in my department. So, my question is, if I go to complain to school now would they still be able to send my name today if the issue get sorted today? Secondly, could it be because of name issue on my Nin? On all my documents, I am using SAADUDEEN ABDULAFEES but on my NIN it’s Saadallah abdulafees. Please help

    1. Whether your name is on the graduation list or not has nothing to do with your age. You can go to your school to complain about it but it won’t be uploaded with this batch again if it hasn’t already.

  24. Good morning local man
Graduating list is out. If I’ve seen my name there, meaning there’s high chance I’ll be on senate list on Monday too right?

  25. Olowookere Tope Oluwatobi

    my birthday certificate is:
    Ayede precious onyekachukwu
My nin slip is AYEDE PRECIOUS ONYEKACHUKWU
My sch result is PRECIOUS ONYEKA AYEDE, same thing with my Jamb

Can I still register without any issue

    1. As long your school send the same name on senate list, you can register. However, you might encounter issues during NYSC registration because of the name mismatch on NIN. You might want to visit the nearest NIMC office to correct it.

  26. 1) My sister will be getting married in January, and she is set for service, please if there’s any resolution about this I’ll really appreciate..

    2) I was eligible for service but I decided not to go at that time, now I feel ready, I want to know if there’s any procedures that needs to be taken for such.

    1. 1. If your sister wants to register as a married woman, she should get married first. Ig not, she can register and take a leave during her wedding.

      2. You can register for NYSC as long as your name is on the senate list.

  27. 1.my first question is that i didnt registered jamb with nin what should i do? 2.my date of birth on my nin is different with the one on my jamb but the one on jamb is the correct is it going to affect my service due to the miss math of the date of birth.? 3. My name on my o-level certificate is paul simon and jamb swicthed my name to simon paul, but on my statement of result is paul simom due to surname before first name is it going to creat problem during my service?

    1. 1. NYSC has no business with how you registered JAMB si that’s not a problem here.

      2. NYSC only uses the date of birth on JAMB. Others doesn’t matter.

      3. The order of name arrangement is not a problem. Even if you see any wrong name placement, you can apply for rearrangement on your dashboard after NYSC registration.

  28. Abdullahi Musa Sani

    Dear Local Man,

The name on my previous certificates (Primary, SSCE, and ND) is Abdullahi M. Sani, but my school now requires full names. I corrected the abbreviation at the NIMC office before registering for JAMB, so my current records JAMB, NIN, and statement of result all bear Abdullahi Musa Sani.

Only my older certificates still carry the abbreviated name (Abdullahi M. Sani). I have already sworn a court affidavit for the name correction.

Please, I would like to know if the affidavit alone is sufficient for NYSC registration or if I also need a newspaper publication for the name change.

  29. Good day sir, please when will the registration for batch c stream 2 begin and is it possible for the orientation camp to happen in January 2026?

  30. Good day sir, please concerning this batch c registration happening soon, will it cover both stream 1 and 2. Or stream 2 will need to carry out another registration later.

  31. Oga there’s nothing like impossible expectations PT students have been serving for quite a while now, they only stopped them from serving last year, as at 2024 PT students in my school graduated and registered for their NYSC and went, they only started this no service issue last year so don’t say it’s an impossible expectations. Maybe the PT students you know are not serving doesn’t mean it’s same everywhere. The only thing I’m not arguing about is the recent policy by NYSC and Jamb about not allowing PT/evening students go for service that’s why I’m asking if they have resolved it now or if there’s a new resolution for it.

  32. Good day, Sir. The date of birth on my JAMB 1995, while the one on my NIN is 1999 and I graduated on the 12 of march 2025 and on the first of march 995 was my birthday will I be able to go to NYSC

  33. Hello sir, please pardon me for this question but are the evening/part time students now allowed to register successfully for the batch C stream 1 without being excluded? Because my friends that registered with batch B stream 2 has been excluded and on their dashboard it says their exclusion letter is being processed. Sir please I just want to know if we the evening/part time students can register without being excluded this batch C stream 1 because I’m scared.

  34. Well done for the good works sir
Please someone told me that there’s another email address faster than Gmail
That people that used Gmail address during registration got delayed
    How true is this?

    1. Good afternoon local man, please sir my Statement of result/Jamb and NIN slip have different name spelling, It is spelt Adebari Micheal Damilare on Jamb and Statement of result but on NIN it is spelt Adebari Michael Damilare. And I tried changing it NIN but there’s an issue with their site have been trying since last week Thursday and today someone told me I can change the name on NYSC portal and I will like you to confirm that for me

      1. I don’t think the single letter misspelling on NIN will be an during NYSC registration.

The correction on the dashboard is only to align your details on the senate list with what you have on your certificate or statement of result. Nothing outside of that.

  35. Good morning local man. I’m a student of Abu… Was so worried that my school mobilization wasn’t placed online so I went to mobilization office in school yesterday.. they said they submitted it last week so I confirmed to check my name.. my name was there
That means I will be on the Senate list next week right? Just tensed

  36. Good evening local man, Please I have a question to ask?

From the information gathered and the rumors flying I heard that the online registration opens late at night and you can do it by yourself using your phone at night and go to Cyber Cafe in the morning to do the printing of Adendum and Green card? This is because the site is usually free and stable at night.

So my question now is, we are meant to do biometric and take a picture to confirm our identity, and they are usually done at Cyber Cafe, does it mean that you can still login at Cyber Cafe to complete your registration by putting your biometrics and passport after submitting your registration details online using your phone? .

And again sir, regarding this genotype and Blood group stuff, I have not done the test before. Is it compulsory that I must go to hospital and do a test on it or is it something that does not really matter and can be forged?

    1. Biometrics is part of NYSC registration and this is done at the cyber cafe, not on phone. The green card and Addendum only comes after registration.

You can use any genotype since you don’t know yours. It’s not going to be tested at the orientation camp.

  37. My name is on my school senate list, but I dont plan going for November Batch C, I plan going next year once registration portal open for next year…

    1. Will the NERD approval still applicable to me when I want to register next year ?
Cause my name is out already for mobilization…

    2. Can I register for November camp even though I wont be going ? Then proceed with re-application next year when am ready.

    1. 1. NYSC NERD clearance suspension is only for those going to camp next month. Not for those who could have gone but didn’t go.

      2. You can register now if you wish. However, if you’re deployed and refuse to go, you’ll need to do revalidation later.

  38. Good morning Local Man. I have few questions for clarification to ask.
    1. My name arrangement is different is same on jamb portal and NIN but its different from my school, will this be a problem.
    2. the jamb doesn’t recognize me based on jamb matriculation and I haven’t been able to print out admission letter so that I can be recognized and I haven’t been able to do it on the site you provided for over a week now. What next can I do.
    3. I want to serve in Lagos( both camp and PPA) can you help me with that ?

    1. 1. The order of name arrangement is not a problem. You can apply for name rearrangement on your dashboard after online registration.

      2. Visit the nearest JAMB CBT center for help.

      3. I’ll announce it on the NYSC WhatsApp channel whenever I’m accepting details for direct posting. Until then, be patient.

      1. If I register for November Batch and I did not go just to avoid NERD policy come next year, will I get the same state if I do revalidation come next year, and hope NERD will not be an issue when doing revalidation..,
Hope i will not be penalize by NYSC for not going to camp come November

  39. Good morning Local Man, I can’t see my name or my set names on NYSC portal (extract PCM) for 2025 batch b , but you’re already taking about batch C , what’s going on 😞
And without my name coming up I am not eligible to register for service when the sale of form is out online

  40. plz sir, local man.if i do a date of birth correction on my jamb and they give me a new jamb number while my school have sumitted the old jamb number.how will i do?
