Overview of the NYSC Calendar 2026

The NYSC 2026 calendar is the official schedule that guides the organization’s activities for the service year, often summarized in the 2026 NYSC timetable released for each batch. It covers everything from internal planning to coordination with schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

NYSC uses this calendar to keep every state on the same track. When institutions upload senate lists or when the mobilization portal opens, those dates are all fixed in line with the calendar’s plan. If there are any changes, it will reflect in the NYSC updated calendar 2026. It’s the structure that keeps the entire scheme running smoothly across the country.

Why the NYSC 2026 Calendar Matters for PCMs

For prospective corps members, this calendar is like a compass. It helps you know what to expect, when to expect it, and how to plan ahead. Understanding it saves you from the misinformation that often spreads before every mobilization. The calendar for NYSC 2026 also helps you prepare early for documentation, registration, and travel.

Understanding the NYSC Batch System

If you’ve ever wondered why NYSC mobilizes in different batches and streams, this is where it all makes sense. The batch system is NYSC’s way of organizing the large number of graduates who go for service every year.

Difference Between NYSC Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C

Each service year is divided into three batches namely A, B, and C. The NYSC batches and months 2026 follows the same pattern, with each round of mobilization happening at different times of the year.

Batch A usually kicks off early in the year, often between February and April. Batch B follows around mid-year, while Batch C closes the year, usually between October and December. All the batches go through the same process of registration, deployment, and camping but at different times.

How the NYSC Streams Work and Why They Exist

The batches are further divided into two streams, called Stream 1 and Stream 2. This helps NYSC manage the number of corps members going to camp at once. Each stream has its own camp date even though they both belong to the same batch.

When is the next batch for NYSC in 2026?

The next batch of NYSC 2026 is Batch C Stream 2 of 2025. The management hasn’t released the official timetable yet but based on the first mobilization of the previous year, it usually begins very early in January. Once NYSC announces the registration and camp dates on their verified social media handle, this page will be updated with the confirmed details.

How NYSC Decides the Calendar Dates

The NYSC calendar is planned with the larger national landscape in view. Before any dates are approved, the management reviews Nigeria’s yearly schedule to avoid overlap with major events. Political activities, holidays, and major religious observances all play big roles in shaping the final timetable.

For instance, orientation camps are never held during elections, Easter, Ramadan, Eid ul-Adha, or Christmas. These are periods that hold deep national or religious significance, and NYSC deliberately respects them to maintain balance and harmony across the country.

Once those sensitive dates are mapped out, the rest of the year’s program is arranged to give each batch enough time for mobilization and camping.

What Comes After the Calendar Dates

Once NYSC releases the calendar, what follows is preparation and enforcement. The schedule becomes the official guide for every activity that follows, from senate list uploads to camp openings.

For prospective corps members, this is the time to get ready and follow the NYSC mobilization updates closely. Ensure your documents are in order and prepare for the next NYSC registration and deployment to camp.

The calendar gives structure, but it’s your readiness that keeps you on track when the next NYSC mobilization begins.

📌 Bonus: Message on Whatsapp to process your medical fitness certificate. It is a compulsory requirement for camp registration.

Common Questions About the NYSC Calendar 2026

Here are some of the questions PCMs usually ask and how it impacts the mobilization process.

Is the NYSC calendar 2026 available to the public?

Not officially. NYSC doesn’t publish the calendar for public view. It’s for internal management of the scheme. What they release instead are official timetables for each batch, which reflect portions of the yearly calendar. So, while you may not find a document titled NYSC 2026 Calendar on their website, the information becomes public gradually through these timetables and official updates.

Is the NYSC Calendar the same as the Mobilization Timetable?

No, they’re not the same. The NYSC calendar 2026 provides a broad overview of all activities for the service year, while the NYSC mobilization timetable focuses on specific dates and steps for each batch and stream. In short, the timetable is the detailed version of the calendar.

How many batches does NYSC have per year?

NYSC mobilizes graduates in three batches every year (Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C). Each batch is further divided into two streams to help manage the number of corps members reporting to camp at once.

When is the next NYSC batch?

The next batch for NYSC is 2025 Batch C Stream 2, which comes after the NYSC current batch, 2025 Batch C Stream 1. This is expected to start in January 2026, though the exact date will be confirmed in the official NYSC mobilization timetable once released.

Is there any difference between Stream 1 and Stream 2?

Not really. Both belong to the same batch and follow the same process. The only difference is in their camping and passing-out dates.

When will the next NYSC orientation camp open?

How long does the NYSC orientation camp last?

The NYSC orientation course lasts for 21 days. This is the standard NYSC camp schedule used nationwide. During that period, corps members go through paramilitary drills, lectures, and social activities that prepare them for the service year ahead.

How can I confirm my batch and stream?

NYSC does not assign batches ahead of time. You become eligible for a batch once your name appears on the NYSC Senate List portal. For foreign-trained graduates, eligibility begins after evaluation by the Federal Ministry of Education. Your batch and stream will be displayed on your NYSC dashboard after registration.

Can the dates on the NYSC 2026 calendar change?

Yes. NYSC sometimes adjusts the calendar based on national events or internal planning. Any changes to the NYSC Calendar 2026 will be updated on this website as soon as it’s confirmed.

How do I stay updated on changes to the NYSC calendar 2026?

Follow official NYSC channels and credible news platforms that quote verified sources. Avoid WhatsApp or Telegram broadcasts that share dates without linking to reliable sources.

Can I register for NYSC after clocking 30 years?

You can register as long as your details is on the senate list. However, your eligibility for active service depends on your age at graduation. NYSC uses your date of birth on JAMB and your graduation date on the Senate List to determine eligibility. If you graduated before turning 30, you can still serve even if you’re now older.

When will NYSC release the 2026 timetable?

The NYSC 2026 mobilization timetable is released shortly before every Batch activities begin. Unlike the full NYSC calendar, which isn’t made public, the mobilization timetable is always published on the NYSC website and shared across their verified social media pages.

  1. Goodmorning sir, please I want to ask if its possible for me to register for NYSC before my name is on the Senate list, and how will you know that your name is on the Senate list since I have collected my statement of result.
    Thank you.🙏

  2. Hello Local man, I have an issue regarding the attangement of my name in my school which i’m unable to resolve since i got admitted to the school, is it going to affrct my registration for nysc when is not corresponding with other credentials

    1. The order of name arrangement isn’t a problem because there’s an option on your dashboard to correct that. The order of name arrangement on the physical documents won’t pose any problem in camp, as long as the names itself are correct.

  3. I was told some are still recieving their call up number and since then, I have been trying to login to my dashboard but seeing “error completing this process ” at every trial. Is there something I should do with regards to that sir?

    1. It’s not every registered PCMs that has received their call-up number. That doesn’t mean anything is wrong with your registration. There’s nothing you can do at the moment other than to be patient. NYSC will release your call-up number whenever they are ready.

  4. Good evening local man Please I have a question 🙋‍♂️ I want you to put me through about Exclusion later for my sister that just graduated from
University of Ibadan Distance learning center (DLC)

  5. Good afternoon local man

Please I have questions base on my statement of results

I laminated my statement of results cos of it is pealing and I saw someone posting online that NYSC don’t normally collected laminated statement of results

Please sir what can I do in regards to this sir

Can I stay till the time my certificate come out cos my call up number is out

    I am panicking since morning

    Please sir enlighten me sir

    1. NYSC has no problem with laminated documents, so you don’t need to panic. Your laminated statement of result will be accepted in camp. Since your call-up number is already out, just prepare yourself and go with your batch.

  6. Local man can i write request letter that i was interviewed by any company in ph. Because i will be doing direct posting to camp in rivers state and there’s this company i have researched on and they accept corpers.
I hope I’m not a criminal but a citizen trying to find a means to survive in this hard country of ours😂
And please hope NYSC will not send an email to the company asking if truly they gave me a request letter.
    Thank you, sir.

    1. Forging a request letter is one thing, getting it approved by NYSC is another thing. Even more important is getting accepted by the organization in question if eventually you succeed in getting NYSC to post you there.
      Whatever you do, good luck.

  7. Local man, Good afternoon!
Please i want to enquire if my Nd result has expired or not:
My ND graduation date is : 31 January 2022
    HND: 30 September 2024.

And my WAEC result there’s a mistake in it. My name was misspelled ” confidence ” but what is in my WAEC is ” comfidence”. And i wrote only 8 subject and i laminated it. Hope i will not be sent back, Beacuse is next year Batch A, i want to register.
    Thank you, sir!

    1. Only your school can answer the question about whether or not your ND result is expired. Contact them. The misspelling in the WAEC name and laminated documented isn’t a problem for NYSC.

  8. Please I wanted to ask u whether those that saw their names on the new senate list would go for service this November. I am asking because someone said we might go next year.

    1. The possibility of that happening is high because schools will be allowed to upload the senate list for the November batch. However, not everyone will be deployed to camp due to the numbers which will definitely be above what NYSC can handle in a single stream.

  9. Abubakar Bolakale Babaita

Good evening Local man please something is bothering me about the date on my OND certificate I want you to help me share more light on it I graduated in 2017 but I collected my Certificate in 2022 but due to new E.Certificate issue from my school the date on my certificate now is 2022 hope there won’t be any issue in camp Thanks so much.

    1. Constance3238@gmail.com

Good morning, local man. Please, I have an appointment for an interview on the 25th of September (a day after the camp begins). The interview is important as I need the documents before October 10. Please, how do I tackle this. Is it possible to attend camp on the 26th?. Or is there a way to tackle it. Your response is greatly appreciated

      1. The last day for Batch B Stream II camp registration is Friday 26th. If you can make it to camp on that day, you’ll definitely be registered. Anything after that, don’t even bother reporting in camp because you’ll be turned back.

    1. Only NYSC decide when the callup letter is released. You don’t have power over that. As long as you’ve made the remita payment, be patient for your call-up number, however long that takes.

  10. Good morning local man. I applied for change of name on nysc dashboard during registration and it was disapproved. Please any help with that?

Also my date of birth showed may31st on Nysc dashboard, instead of may30th as it is on my NIN and other documents. What can I do to rectify the both problems, please? Thank you.

    1. If your application for name correction was disapproved, it means the correction you’re trying to make is beyond the limit allowed for PCMs. You can contact your Student’s Affairs Officer for help.

NYSC uses the date of birth on JAMB which is where the error originated from. The correction option only works with WAEC verification, and NYSC doesn’t use NIN for date of birth changes. Since the error is minor, it won’t stop you from serving or affect your camp registration. Just go with your documents as they are.

  11. Local Man I’m from the channel.
Thanks for the information and help sir.

Pls I can’t print my green card and I don’t know why sir. I need clarification.

  12. Good afternoon Local man. I hope you’re good and in best of spirit.

Please, I need some explanation and maybe a kind of advice.
I just got my call up number this morning. But I’m not prepared to go to camp next week, due to some circumstances.

How do I go about it if I want to go with the next batch. Also, is it certain that if I don’t go now, I will be mobilized for the next orientation camp.

I will be looking forward to your response. Thanks for all you do.

    1. There’s no compulsion to report to camp with the batch going next week, if that isn’t feasible for you.

You can revalidate with the next available batch, whenever you’re ready to go for service. Here is a guide on that: https://nyscwhatsappgroup.com/nysc-revalidation/

But you should understand that the decision to deploy PCMs to camp lies solely with the NYSC. Time will tell whether they will post you to camp whenever you revalidate.

  13. I heard that not everyone that got call up number last time went with the last batch. And it’s going to apply to this batch too because they have to take those ones first. Local man, how true is this info?

    1. Yes, that info is true even though it doesn’t always happen like that. Sometimes NYSC gives out call-up numbers to more people than they can take in a stream, so some end up being shifted to the next one even though they already had their numbers.

If it applies again this batch, those left behind from the last stream will likely be taken first before fresh ones. So just keep checking your portal and be ready.

  14. Q1
Please is it possible for NYSC to just put your state origin for you automatic even if you don’t choose the particular state of origin

    Q2
And again is true that you can’t serve in the state of your state of origin even if you pay for direct posting Thanks?

    1. A1. Yes, it’s possible to be posted to any state other than what is captured as your state of origin.

A2. There are certain conditions that can make that possible. For example, marriage. Direct posting is out of the question.

  15. Good morning, Local Man.
Thank you for making the NYSC journey seamless for us. Please, I noticed a discrepancy in my graduation date on my statement of result and the Senate list. My school has corrected it, but it hasn’t reflected on the Senate list. Please, is the correction supposed to reflect on the already-posted Senate list, or will it only take effect in subsequent updates?

  16. Good morning,sir
Please for someone who registered with the year he graduated and without registering with the year in his statement of result, is it going to be a problem at Nysc camp?

    1. Let me give an instance:
I graduated 2022 whereas my statement of result shows 2024.
But in the form I filled at the cyber cafe I penned down 2022 instead of 2024.. but on Nysc portal it is showing the exact date and year I graduated.
So my question is, will that be a problem at the Nysc orientation camp since I have my original result and statement?

      1. The date of graduation on your statement of result is when you graduated, not the 2022 you thought.
The date filled during online registration doesn’t affect anything. Don’t worry about it.

        1. Hello, good afternoon, just want to be sure, I registered this September 9th, but till today September 18, I haven’t received my CALL up number, do I have to worry about it? Does it mean I will be shifted to batch C and won’t be able to go for batch B2. I am ready for Batch B. Do I have to do anything? What’s your opinion please

          1. Good afternoon Anthonia. You don’t need to panic yet (not even at all). NYSC releases call-up numbers in batches, and some people get theirs later than others. If by Sunday you still don’t see it, then it likely means you’ve been moved to Batch C. There’s nothing extra you can do on your own than just to keep checking your portal and be ready for whichever stream you fall into. Either way, you’ll still serve.

  17. Goodmorning Lm!i graduate 2021 and i did my clearance 2023 uptil now my name is not on the senate list or graduation list, what is the problem? i need your help

  18. Hello L.M,thank you for respoding to my message.I still want to ask, my dashboard is only showing that i should upload my passport ,will it affect my callup letter? and if it will, how do i resolved it?

    1. Yes, you won’t be able to access your call-up letter if you don’t resolve it.

To clear the error, upload a white background passport around 10kb.Go to the cyber cafe for help if you cannot fix it yourself.

  19. Bros good evening, I av been on ur channel since early this year, I still don’t understand something though,

I finished my last paper February of this year, our results came out first week in August, and I celebrate my 30th birthday 28th of August.. convocation is by November or thereafter, so will i go for service, or I’ll be given exemption letter…

    1. NYSC is not interested in your convocation or when your result came out. They are only interested in your DATE OF GRADUATION as provided by your school, and your DATE OF BIRTH as recorded on JAMB.
      Do the maths yourself.

  20. Goodmorning L.M,please if i may ask,i saw some changes on my portal that i should upload my passport and it should not be more than 15kb neither less than 7kb because they havd disapproved the picture that is on my portal and i quickly do that but yet the picture has not reflect,my question is,will this affect my callup letter?

  21. Good evening I want to print my jamb admission letter but my jamb reg number is invalid and I don’t know my email I use in registering jamb then and the person that did my jamb registration did not put my phone number 2015 candiate

  22. Patrick Reuben Gabriel

Good day local man, pls I am afraid, My middle name was spell as GABREIL instead of GABRIEL in Jamb profile, an it appear on my downbord, pls sir I hope I will no encounter any problem in camp registration?

  23. Hi LM, have they started the registration of foreign/International students from Benin 🇧🇯 for NYSC exemption and mobilization?

  24. Please sir, I registered with this batch B 2 hoping that I will eventually be mobilized for C1 because of the backlogs. If eventually I am being mobilized with B2 can I still leave it to join C1 cuz I am not really ready for this B2 batch

  25. Good Day L.M
I just want to be on a saver side that’s why I want to ask this question. My name has been uploaded on NYSC senate list since Batch A but I’m not ready for registration,I’m planning to register during Batch C fresh registration. I hope I will be consider coz I don’t pray for shifting from batch to batch.

  26. Greetings Local man,
    I made a mistake while registering ..
The place that shows institution graduation for university ….from so so year to so so year…
    Instead of putting 2018 to
    I mistakenly put 2017 to

    Can it be corrected??
Or hope it won’t affect me in camp??

  27. please I just wanted to ask.
are all those that registered this September going to be among the batch b stream 2 or they’ll be divided into the batch be stream 2 and others batch c.
because I want to register now but not ready for the camp 24th September.

  28. Hey LM. I just want to ask something for clarification thou it seem irrelavant because i’m not registering now until november for batch c. Pls can i go to nysc portal since it’s open an create account; like to receive an email sms an everything so that when it comes to our turn I can just login an proceed with my registration without wasting time for the mail. THE QUESTION IS IRRELAVANT BUT I JUST HAVE TO ASK.

  29. Hurraaaayy!! Wow wow wow!! At long last, the long awaited, anticipated moment has finally come by: i just saw my CALL UP NUMBER, haah, now i am releaved frm constantly viewing, peeping every second, minutes to check when to see my Call Up Number. Thank you MR L.M for ur encouragements..thank “GOD”!!

  30. Please will there be registration for batch c and new list upload on Nysc portal for batch c
Since my not is not reflecting on batch b2, although Ive not registered for ones due to ommission which has been rectified. Is there still hope

  31. Good day to you Mr L.M. please,I want to ask this question; though it’s kind of confusing and stressing knowing how Ive been moved from batch to batch since “April”: this current batch awaiting camp by 24 Sept, are all the PCMs on ground certain to go with it,that’s Batch B stream2?

  32. Guess there will not be problem during clearance for those that has two in their HND results, Three names in JAMB results and NIN?

  33. Will having a different name arrangement on bvn and nin be an issue? It’s the name but they were arranged differently

  34. What I meant is that the date written on the IT certificate is more than a year, for instance, I started my IT from May 1st to May 5th, and now it’s more than a year by about 4 days. Will it still work for NYSC registration, or do I need to do another one?

      1. Eze Solomon Amarachukwu

Can anyone with two names on the School Result, Three names on JAMB RESULT, three names on NIN go for service?

        1. Hello, I’m a foreign student who has completed the physical verification. My dashboard still says online evaluation has not been completed, what do I do? Do you know if other foreign students have received their call-up numbers?
