NERD Gives Update on Batch C 2025
For the latest news on NYSC registration, here’s an important update. The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) has announced that 2025 Batch C prospective corps members will not be affected by the new clearance rule introduced by the Federal Government.
According to the NYSC news today, NERD reached an agreement with the NYSC to relax the policy for this batch, since their mobilisation started before the enforcement date of October 6, 2025.
Key Takeaways For Latest News on NYSC Registration
- NERD, in collaboration with NYSC, has relaxed the new compliance rules for 2025 Batch C prospective corps members.
- From 2026 onward, every student preparing for NYSC registration will have to be NERD compliant. Early registration on the NERD portal is strongly advised.
- There will be arrangements for NYSC Batch C 2025 registration once the NERD website becomes fully operational in 2026.
- Nothing was mentioned about foreign graduates, but it’s expected that NERD will clarify that before next year.

NERD Compliance Latest news on NYSC registration
The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) has issued a public clarification on its new clearance process, which permanently logs graduates’ academic outputs like credentials and project reports in a national database for instant verification.
This process is crucial for things like NYSC mobilization, employment validation, and foreign missions’ clearance. Institutions are responsible for uploading your academic credentials, but as a student, your key responsibility is to enroll on the NERD platform and upload your project report, thesis, or dissertation. The NERD Clearance Slip is your official proof of successful compliance with this verification process.
As part of the latest news on NYSC registration for 2025 NYSC Batch C mobilization, NERD is currently focusing the enforcement on the academic report upload and is relaxing the academic credential component to allow institutions more time to onboard.
Students must first enroll at https://ned.gov.ng/onboarding and then log in to the upload portal at https://ned.gov.ng/login to upload their work. After uploading the required parts of their projects, prospective corps members must process the clearance, affirm their supervisors’ details, and print the resulting NERD clearance slip.
All of these steps are done digitally without any need to travel.

Meanwhile, fresh information on NYSC Batch C 2025 has been released. According to the latest news on NYSC registration, online registration for Batch C Stream 1 will hold from November 4 to 9, 2025, while the orientation camp opens on November 19, 2025. If you belong to this stream, this is the time to start putting your documents and camp items in order.
Before that, schools will begin uploading names on the NYSC senate list between Monday, October 20 and Friday, October 24. Only those whose names appear on this list will be able to register online. If your name isn’t there, reach out to your school for clarification before registration begins.
In another major update on NYSC, the management released a memo to the schools about the NERD clearance slip. According to the circular, every graduate mobilized for camp starting from Batch C Stream 1 must present this NYSC NERD clearance slip during registration at the orientation camp.
The policy is part of NYSC’s effort to align with the National Education Research and Development (NERD) project upload initiative. Many schools have already started giving directives to their students, so keep in touch with your student affairs office for proper guidance.
It’s important to note that the NERD clearance slip is not required for online registration. You’ll only need it when reporting to camp.
Away from policy updates, the Minister of Innovation, Uche Nnaji, resigned last week following controversy surrounding his NYSC certificate. The news has sparked fresh public discussions about transparency and compliance among government officials.
And on a lighter note, remember Raye, the corps member who went viral after saying Lagos smells? Well, she’s trending again. This time for buying a Benz. 😅

Latest News on NYSC – 6th October, 2025
Are you waiting for NYSC Batch C updates? Here’s a quick roundup of the latest news on NYSC registration, mobilization, and what to expect next.
- Nigerian Minister Uche Nnaji has been accused of forging both his university degree and NYSC certificate. UNN confirmed he never graduated, while NYSC said there’s no record of his service. The coming days will be telling for his political career.
- The orientation course for Batch B Stream 2 will wrap up on Tuesday, October 14. Meanwhile, the backlog of registered graduates is expected to be deployed to camp on November 19, 2025.
- For those waiting for Batch C NYSC 2025 update, there’s still no official date for online registration. But with camp winding down, an announcement from NYSC should drop soon.
- In the meantime, several schools have already released their internal mobilization lists for Batch C. However, uploads to the NYSC senate list portal are still awaiting approval. PCMs are strongly advised to double-check their details on the internal list before it gets uploaded. A stitch in time saves nine.
- On project submissions to NERD, PCMs are advised to wait for clear instructions from NYSC and their institutions on how the process will be rolled out.
- And on a lighter note, Access Bank once again “won” the award for delayed payment of stipends, with corps members serving them the usual gbas gbos online.
- For those following the NYSC Batch C Stream 1 update, note that not every registered graduate may be deployed on November 19, 2025. The numbers are simply too large for NYSC to handle all at once, so staggered deployment is likely.
That’s the NYSC latest update 2025 for now. The big takeaway is that Batch C registration hasn’t opened yet, but once it does, you’ll be the first to know.
Until then, stay alert, confirm your details on your school’s mobilization list, and avoid a last-minute rush. I’ll keep bringing you NYSC news today on Batch C stream 1 and release dates as soon as official information becomes available.
