Latest news on NYSC Registration for 2026 Batch B Stream 1

NYSC Updates Today – 25th May, 2026

Good morning and welcome to another edition of NYSC Recap with Local Man. Here are the highlights from activities in the NYSC space within the past week, including updates around 2026 Batch B 2026 registration and other key developments.

Disclaimer: This is based on personal research and analysis. Treat it as you will.

👉 The 2025 Batch A Stream II corps members passed out on Thursday, 21st May after completing their one-year national service. The DG urged them to uphold the ideals of the Scheme and ensure their conduct continues to reflect honour and integrity.

👉 Moving on to the next set, NYSC announced that the 2026 Batch B Stream I orientation course will hold across the 37 orientation camps from 10th to 30th June, 2026.

👉 In preparation for camp, call-up numbers have been released to some PCMs while many others are yet to receive theirs or still unable to access their dashboards. For those asking whether call up number is out for batch B 2026, the answer is yes for some candidates, but it’s still being released in batches. Affected PCMs are advised to keep checking regularly.

👉 In what came as a disappointment to unregistered graduates, the portal will not open for NYSC Batch B 2026 registration this batch due to the backlog from registrations received in March and April.

👉 Foreign-trained graduates who have completed online registration but are yet to be screened will have their physical verification exercise between 2nd and 4th June, 2026.

👉 NYSC has also announced that, going forward, only graduates who are NERD compliant will be registered at the orientation camp. This feature has now been integrated into PCM dashboards, with statuses currently showing “Pending”, “Partial”, or “Failed”, although this will likely update to “Successful” after documentation in camp.

NYSC Updates Today – 18th May, 2026

Good morning and welcome to another edition of NYSC Weekly Recap with Local Man. Here are the major happenings in the NYSC space over the past week, including fresh updates on Batch B Stream 1 2026.

Disclaimer: This recap is based on personal research and analysis. Treat it as you will.

👉🏾 Batch A Stream 2 corps members in Enugu and Osun camps will be passing out today. Those who applied for relocation and got approval are expected to see the update on their dashboard later this morning.

👉🏾 NYSC has opened the portal for remobilization of absconded corps members. This exercise is expected to run from May 14–28, 2026. Note that remobilization only applies to corps members who had already started service but stopped reporting at their PPA along the way.

👉🏾 Some schools have started releasing internal senate lists ahead of Batch B. However, this does not automatically mean NYSC registration will begin immediately. If your name is on the list, make sure your details are correct to avoid issues later.

👉🏾 As reported here several times, Batch B Stream 1 2026 is expected to enter camp next month. While the official date is not certain yet, June 10 currently looks likely. Those to be deployed will be selected from PCMs who have already registered and are awaiting their call-up numbers.

👉🏾 In another NYSC update today, the NYSC DG appealed to INEC to increase the payment made to corps members serving as ad hoc staff during elections. According to him, improved welfare will encourage participation and help corps members carry out their duties diligently without financial inducement.

👉🏾 A cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Blord, recently compared Kuje prison to NYSC camp. The comment was widely criticised, with many arguing that NYSC is a nation-building programme focused on discipline and personal growth, not confinement.

👉🏾 While preparing for camp, don’t forget to contact Fola NYSC Kit for quality and affordable camp essentials.

That wraps up the updates for now. Stay tuned for more NYSC updates today and throughout the week.

📌 Disclaimer: This is based on personal research and analysis. Treat it as you will.

  2. Joshua Emmanuel

How do i upload my project during NYSC registration? I was having challenges when I try to upload it.

  3. Good evening Local man
I’m a PCM, I registered in march and I have gotten my call up number and by God’s grace, I will get my call up letter soon.

The problem is that, I was the Best Graduating student in my department and faculty, and they just sent me an email demanding I should be in school on the 23rd of June, because there’s a very big event that day and they have decided to give me a special recognition and award that day.
But by then, I will be in camp, can I leave camp with the help of my platoon officer to attend the award giving day and come back the next day?
Please I need your advice on this
I’m in Anambra but I have done direct posting through the help of my uncle to Delta State
    Thanks so much 🙌

    1. Congratulations on this laudable feat. Wish you many more accomplishments ahead.

Yes, you can talk to your platoon officer about it if you have proof of course. I don’t think they will want to deny you that moment.

  4. Warri Ayibaperedei

    Good evening Sir
Please I have a question it’s really urgent.
The thing is my NERD status was showing pending since last month but getting to today it just changed to Partial, and according to you we should take it to our school student affairs so they can do the needful. My worry now is since today is Friday and I saw it late in the evening if not I would have gone to the school to address it, and tomorrow which is Saturday offices won’t be open so if I wait till Monday and sort it out will I still get call up letter to go for camp with this set?
Also the T&C message doesn’t pop up whenever I login to my page?

    1. Sorry, I can’t remember telling anyone to take anything to anywhere. What I said about the NERD status was that I believe it will change to successful after documentation at the orientation camp.

  5. Opeyemi Musiliudeen

Boss you said call up number is still dropping but I have not gotten mine and I registered on the third day of registration, Local man I need an explanation on why I have not still gotten my call up number meanwhile those that registered on the last day have gotten theirs, please explain thank you

  6. Good evening local man, please did you know wether NYSC will release call up number again in this batch b stream 1?

  7. Good afternoon sir. Please I have original certificate but I can only get scanned photocard because I live in Abuja and schooled in Lagos. Would it be a problem during camp registration?

  8. Good evening, local man
My name on my NYSC dashboard was showing Simon-Anyebe Josiah Ofuowoicho instead of Simon-Anyebe Josiah Ofu-owoicho, I applied for correction of the name. It has been approved but now it’s showing Simonanyebe Josiah Ofuowoicho.
Please is there a way to correct it???

  9. Good morning sir
Please I want to ask if the call up letter released yesterday is just for single people sir? Coz most of us that are married have not yet seen our call up number sir.
    Thank you sir 🙏
