How many NYSC batches are in year 2025?

NYSC usually mobilizes graduates three times a year in Batch A, Batch B and Batch C. Each batch is split into Stream I and Stream II to control the number of people in camp.       NYSC uses the name provided by your school on the senate list so ensure that your name on other documents matches that especially your statement of result.

      Hello Paul, thanks for caring.

      Based on the NYSC memo, the NERD thesis submission rule applies only to prospective corps members whose names have not yet been mobilized before October 6, 2025. Since you were already mobilized before (you registered and even got a call-up number last year), you don’t fall under this new rule.

      In short, you’re safe. You’ll only need to do revalidation, not NERD submission.

      Every prior senate list release but yet to be uploaded will be uploaded on NYSC portal once NYSC gives the approval. So yes, the internal senate list released in April will as count as Batch C Stream 1 upload.

      Hello Ola,.
      Since your name is already on the NYSC Senate list and you’ve completed registration, the NERD clearance policy won’t affect you at all. It only applies to graduates who haven’t registered before October 6, 2025.

      As for not getting a call-up number yet, it simply means NYSC didn’t include you in the last batch. You’ll be moved automatically to Batch C, and when the portal reopens, you’ll be revalidated and get a fresh call-up number and letter then.

      I can’t say whether or not your situation count as “already mobilized” since you haven’t registered yet. I’d say you should be patient for update from both your school and NYSC.

      Hello Ada. I’ve explained this severally on my NYSC group that the procedure for implementation of the NERD policy for NYSC will be communicated through the academic institutions. This means you have nothing to worry about. Your school will contact if they need anything from you.

    I registered during the last registration. My portal showed Batch B, but I didn’t get a call-up number, so I’m not in camp. However, my portal still displays Batch B.

    I don’t know if I should be worried since I’m not yet moved to Batch C.

      No need to worry Rofiat. This happens often. When you register but don’t get deployed with that stream, your portal may still display the previous batch for a while. Once registration for Batch C opens, you’ll be shifted automatically and revalidation will place you in the new batch. It doesn’t mean you’ve been dropped.

        Local man, good day, the organisation that wants to take me as a Corp member has never received Corp members, prior to now. I asked some persons and they said the organisation must be registered with Nysc first. I have been looking for how to go about this but there’s been no headway.

          Yes, there are some processes required before NYSC can post corps members to any organization. Unfortunately, this is not the responsibility of corps members. The organization in question will need to visit the NYSC secretariat in their state of business registration for the steps involved.

      Yes, you can still do direct posting with the next batch. Since you’ve been given a call-up number, all you’ll need to do is revalidate when registration opens for the next batch. Since that is a different batch entirely your call-up number will change to a new one which you can use to influence your posting.

    Good morning, I am graduate with B.Phil( bachelor of philosophy) from a school affiliate to a foreign university in Italy and the degree was issued by the university in Italy through the school here in Nigeria. Now in nysc portal, they are requesting for traveling history which I don’t have because I did all my studies here in Nigeria. Please how do I go about it

      NYSC is aware that some graduates of affiliate institutions never traveled abroad, so you won’t be disqualified for not having travel history. But for that to happen, the affiliated partner in Nigeria must have been accredited to run such programs. You should explain this to the evaluation team at the Ministry of Education in Abuja and also to the NYSC staff during physical verification.

      Leave it as it is. Your NIN doesn’t need to carry your husband’s name before you can register as a married PCM. What matters is uploading the required marriage documents (marriage certificate, newspaper publication, husband’s ID, utility bill, etc.) during registration. That’s what NYSC will use to grant you concessional posting.

      Since your biometric capture in camp failed, it’s the norm to be sent back. You’ll have to wait for the next batch and do revalidation on the NYSC portal once it opens. Before then though, you must visit the nearest NYSC secretariat for biometric recapturing.

          Biometric capturing happens during your online NYSC registration at any accredited cyber café. That’s when your fingerprints are first recorded into NYSC’s database.

          At the orientation camp, some people face biometric verification failure due to poor fingerprint quality during online registration. They are sent back whenever that happens.

          Since it is only the Secretariat that has authorized access to update or correct biometric data already in NYSC’s system, the affected PCMs has to visit the nearest there for solution.

      For someone who has graduated since 2022, your original certificate should have be ready by now. There’s a report that some PCMs were turned back at the orientation camp due to expired statements of result. While I can’t say whether or the same will happen to you, I strongly advise you get your original certificate before camp.

      Yes, utility bill is a compulsory for married women seeking concessional posting with NYSC. This is to help verify that you actually live where you claim to live.

      Now, it doesn’t have to be NEPA bill alone, if that is not within your reach. You can use tenancy agreement (house rent receipt) or any other receipt on the periodic payments you make for services enjoyed. The receipt must however show the town or city your address carries.

    Since you haven’t registered yet, just relax until your school uploads the next senate list. Your NIN change to your husband’s name won’t stop anything because your maiden name is equally on your record with NIMC.

    Ensure you have the affidavit for change of name and newspaper publication ready before the NYSC registration portal opens.

      Since you were given a call-up number but no letter, NYSC has shifted you to the next batch entirely. That means your call-up number will change after revalidation.

      For direct posting, you can process it with the the new batch but it has to be with the new call-up number.

      No Muhammad, that’s not true. Your medical condition doesn’t go beyond the NYSC. It will not be included on your certificate, neither will it be disclosed outside of the scheme.

      The officials at the NYSC orientation camp won’t register you if there are discrepancies in your date of graduation on the callup letter and the one on your certificate. Contact your Student’s Affairs Officer to resolve this in time for the next batch.

      Good evening. Since you are married, the change of name on your NIN won’t stop your NYSC registration. What matters is that the name on your senate list matches the one on your statement of result. If there’s any difference, ensure you contact your Student’s Affairs Officer for correction. Also, ensure you have the required documents for married ladies.

      If you were deployed but couldn’t go to camp, you don’t need to start afresh. Just wait for the next batch and revalidate when the registration portal opens. That will move your details forward automatically. Being deployed (or not) with that batch is solely up to NYSC.

What should I do and the second one, when choosing a shoe size you mentioned for example 34 instead of 33 is there reason for that?

      Good morning. For the NIN issue, no problem at all. NYSC will go with the names on your school records and Senate list, not your NIN, so you don’t need to worry. For the shoe size, the advice to pick 34 instead of 33 is just to give you a little allowance since camp drills involve a lot of movement and wearing tight shoes can be very uncomfortable. It’s not like NYSC follows the measurement anyway.

    Hello Local man, please I want to understand how direct posting works. I’m sure you need the call up number and maybe the letter for Direct posting right? After given an original state of deployment by nysc, so, you as the plug then uses your influence or press the right button to influence the change, that is, the previous state of deployment is changed back to the state the PCM wants or wishes to serve in, is that how it works?
    Also, how many hours does it take for the change to reflect on the PCM portal considering the fact that 1. The call up letter was released just a few days to camp. 2, the PCM already printed their previous call up letter which included the original state that NYSC deployed them to, so after the direct posting is done successfully, the PCM will go back to reprint their call up letter again to reveal if the direct posting worked or not .. ? I will be glad to get a very detailed answer.

      Yes, you need to have a call-up number before your posting can be influenced but I believe what you are asking is NYSC relocation. This comes after PCMs have been deployed and reported in camp. I also think you mumbled the idea of call-up letter reprinting into your question.

      The timing for result will largely depend on whoever is influencing it so it’s not what I can say.

      Good morning Debby. Since call-up letters are already out and you haven’t gotten yours by now, it means NYSC didn’t include you in this stream. That’s not an issue though. You’ll be automatically moved to the next batch. Just wait, you’ll get your letter then.

      Yes, you can influence your posting after revalidation. What the influencers need is your call-up number to get the job done. So as long as you have a call-up number after revalidation, you have a shot at doing direct posting.

      As for your call-up number, if you revalidate within the same batch (between streams), it stays the same. But if you revalidate into a new batch, your call-up number will change even if there’s no correction on the Senate list.

    good morning.
    I got my call up number about 48 hours ago now. Camp is supposed to be opened tomorrow as said and we are supposed to report to camp as instructed, yet I didn’t get my call up letter to reveal where I’m posted and all other necessary info.. why is that? Never knew that was a thing too. And if I don’t receive the call up letter until tomorrow, what do I do?

      If you haven’t gotten your call up letter by now, it means NYSC didn’t include you in this stream. Once call-up letters are released, everyone meant to go gets theirs at the same time. So don’t expect it anymore because you’ve been shifted to the next batch. Nothing to do but wait because you’ll be automatically revalidated with the next batch.

    I already completed registration for NYSC and got my call up number already but I want to make enquiries on NYSC revalidation.
    Do you think it’s something I should consider because I have some issues at the moment and can’t make it to camp with this batch.. I heard it can be quite cumbersome or challenging to do revalidation although I read your article on it and it doesn’t seem so. So, Is that true ? And what are the possibilities I will go with batch C in November cos at the moment, I don’t really have a choice.

      Good evening. Since you already have your call-up number, if you miss camp now you’ll simply revalidate with the next batch. The process itself isn’t difficult, but note that NYSC has the final say on which stream or batch you’ll be placed in. Most times it’s the immediate next batch (like Batch C in November), but sometimes people get shifted further. So prepare for November, but also keep in mind NYSC’s discretion.

      You can’t join Batch C in November if your school hasn’t sent your name to the NYSC senate list.
      NYSC only mobilizes candidates whose schools have fully processed their result and uploads their details on the senate list. Even if you’ve defended, what matters is when LASU releases and forwards the official list.

      Without your name on the senate list, you can’t register, and without registering, you can’t get called to camp.

      So, your focus should be on LASU. Once your school uploads your name on the senate list, you’ll be eligible for the next available registration before being patient for camp.

      Good evening local man I hope you can enlighten me on this I graduated last year September 21 2024 but my school withheld my result due to my ND result I graduated April 9th 2021 with a PASS and I enroll for my hnd program 2022 September and graduated September 2024,my result was suppose to be (2024/2025)I was told my result will come out with the next set (2025/2026) after me which they graduated last week,can I go with November Batch C if I get my result cleared or I have to still wait till next year batch A when the set after me are going pls I need enlighten because I have been waiting since September last year

        For graduates that schooled in Nigeria, registration for NYSC is contingent on your name being on the senate list. In this case, it’s your school that can decide whether they will mobilize your details on the senate list for the November batch or till next year.

      Good evening. Don’t worry, a single alphabet error won’t stop you from being registered in camp. Since you’ve already applied for correction, just go with your original documents. If it’s still under review by the time you get to camp, the ICT unit will help you fast-track it.

      Apart from being granted concessional posting, married women are not exempted from camp. The only people that are not allowed in camp are pregnant ladies and breastfeeding mothers. However, overcrowded camps like Lagos and Abuja sometimes do allow married women to go back home after registration in order to decongest the camp.

      Good afternoon. What you saw was internal senate list which hasn’t been forwarded to NYSC yet. Your name will only appear on the NYSC senate list after your school has processed and sent the approved list to NYSC. Once the senate portal opens, if your school includes you, then you’ll be mobilized.

    Good afternoon. I hope all is well. I graduated from UDUS.

    I asked a friend some questions and he shared your channel with me. I have just joined the channel a few minutes ago.

    The questions were:

    1. The date of birth on my JAMB portal is 22/02/1996 which is the correct one, but whenever I printed something from JAMB the date appears to be 3rd Feb. 1998 on the printed slip or anything from JAMB.

    2. The date of birth on my WAEC is 31/12/1995 which is incorrect.

    3. After I graduated I found out that there’s a problem in my name on the school portal. They switched my first name with my surname.
    But the date of birth on my BVN, NIN and everything except the above is correct “22nd February, 1996”.

    I don’t even know where to start this thing. Please 🥺 help me with some explanation. Which one do I need to correct and how?
    I know you must be a busy man, I’m sorry if I bother you.

      Since your correct date of birth is already on JAMB portal, you don’t need to worry. NYSC uses the date of birth on on your JAMB profile, not paper slip.

      The WAEC date of birth won’t affect you since you won’t be using it for correction.

      For the name mix-up, make sure your school correct it before mobilization so it reflects properly on the senate list and NYSC dashboard. Go to your Student’s Affairs Officer and complain about it.

    The name on my jamb admission letter and jamb slip is Kuchelli Daniel Hassan
    The name on my Nin is Kucheli Daniel Hassan
    the name on my school Senate list is Kucheli Daniel Hassan.
    There is a double ‘l’ in Kuchelli i.e the name on my jamb slip and jamb admission letter.
    will this affect me? or there is no problem at all

      That slight difference in spelling won’t stop you from going to camp since your school records, NIN, and senate list all match. NYSC works more with the senate list your school submitted. Just make sure you carry all your documents along in case officials need to confirm. You shouldn’t have a problem.

    Good morning Local Man. Please if someone receives his call-up letter but for reasons beyond their powers they decide to not report to camp looking to go with a subsequent batch, is it true that the NYSC management will delay such person for one year before re-deploying him again?
