2026 Batch A Stream 1 Camp Date Announced

NYSC has confirmed the official dates for the 2026 Batch A Stream I orientation course. In a circular dated January 5, 2026 the scheme announced that orientation camp will begin nationwide on Wednesday January 21, 2026 across the 36 states and the FCT.

Registration will take place from Wednesday January 21 to Friday January 23, 2026 with the cut off time set at midnight on Friday January 23. The swearing in ceremony is scheduled for Friday January 23 2026 while the orientation exercise will end on Tuesday February 10 2026.

The announcement was signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations on behalf of the NYSC Director General.

Latest NYSC Registration Update – 5th January, 2026

To start with, NYSC is yet to announce a date for the next orientation camp. Hopefully, there will be some clarity in that direction in the coming days as we continue to track the latest developments.

On the portal side, some PCMs are currently unable to log in to their dashboard due to a “closed registration” error message. There is no cause for concern, as this appears to be a temporary system issue from NYSC and should be resolved soon.

In a related development, the National Education Repository Databank (NERD) disclosed in its last memo that new registration guidelines are expected to be released on January 6. This should give more direction to PCMs following the latest news on NYSC registration and portal requirements.

Away from registration matters, former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, recently clarified that political power play led to her resignation from office, not issues surrounding her NYSC exemption certificate as widely circulated at the time.

    Good morning sir I registered in batch C1 and I wasn’t mobilised and so am automatically been moved to batch A1 I tried opening my portal and it’s saying registration closed I want to know what’s actually the problem because I was able to check my dashboard yesterday afternoon and now it’s saying registration closed that I cannot edit when I have completed it

    Hello good afternoon,
    I’m having issues logging in to my portal. I registered for nysc 2022 got my call up letter but I didn’t go due to financial reasons. This year I might be able to go, so I decided to log in to the portal but I can’t seem to do that.
    I was told I will have to click on something called remobilization when am ready for to go for nysc but now I can’t seem to log in. I don’t know if everything is ok that’s why am reaching out to you.

    Hello good morning local man, I registered last year November; was mobilized but couldn’t go because the timeline clashed with my wedding. My registration was done with my maiden name . So in other to revalidate how do I go about uploading my marriage documents to get posted to my husband’s state? Do I need to do change of name first or the marriage certificate alone will suffice?

      Revalidation doesn’t mean you can change your details. As a matter of fact, you can’t.

      Since you registered as a single lady, you don’t need to do anything for now. Just ensure you have the NYSC requirements for married ladies handy. Whenever NYSC releases the call-up letter, just report the orientation camp in your husband’s state of residence, irrespective of wherever you are posted.

    Trust you’re doing good local man
    I noticed my state Origin on Nysc portal is same as jamb portal because there’s an error in the state of origin during my jamb registration that year.

    Error state of orgin is Lagos
    Correct state of origin is Ogun state

    Kindly advise best way to resolve this issue.
    And should I proceed with registration with Batch C (because I haven’t submit yet) or
    It’s an error that can be rectified at nysc camp or during service. Thank you

    I trust u a lot when it comes to NYSC info that’s why I’m asking this.
    Last night our names reflected in the graduation list. But shortly after we were told by a staff in our school that students that did Part time programme in ND and full time in HND have been flagged as part time students and they should forget about this 2025 batch C.

    Can u please confirm if the information is true?

      Hello Sarah, that has always been the practice. Part-time ND graduates are always excluded from service. The advice from the staff you mentioned might be that the policy is about to be scrapped but won’t be feasible with this batch. You might want to be patient till 2026 Batch A.

    Good evening sir
    Please I am confused about this senate list Uploading, what I know is that as it’s stated in the Time-table to kick off from 20th-24th, PCMs will be able to check their names and any instruction who hasn’t started will be reached out to for the upload. Now the timeframe has ended PCMs cannot access anything regarding the senate list and registration starting in 10 days now. It has not been doing this way before now. What exactly is the problem because I am very sure that institutions will work effectively with the date and even the circular release to them on the 16th given them approval to commence the upload from 20th-24th. Now the Batch C column is yet to be activated

      You said it wasn’t done this way before? Have you served before such that you can accurately predict how predict how NYSC does their thing?

      Like I explained on the NYSC Channel this morning, the timetable is actually in play as it should. PCMs will be able to check their details on the senate list whenever NYSC wants them to.

      Good afternoon Divine. You can escape camp by using medical report for exit. This will be presented to your platoon officer after documentation in camp.

    For the Nerd onboarding, are details editable? I’m asking because my Faculty as at when I did my project/finished was Sciences but I think it was recently changed to Biological sciences. So should I use the Faculty I graduated from or the current faculty the department is in?

    So I have a place in mind to serve.
    I intend to serve with C2.
    Is there anything I have to do or any document I have to submit during registration or take along to camp in order to be posted directly to my preferred state/PPA.

    I don’t wish to go through the stress of rejection letter and appealing to different offices

    However if there’s nothing I can do atm please let me know. Thank you

      You’ve already asked this question on another article and I responded.

      Influence your posting to the desired state and get some to work the PPA for you later. That’s basically the process.

      Good afternoon Dekunle,

      Based on the the memo NYSC sent to the corps producing institutions (the schools), they said ALL their graduates must present the NERD clearance slip in camp. Now that’s where the whole thing is tricky.

      We don’t know if “all” applies to those who have registered already. The schools are the one to make that clear to everyone.

      No Nkiruka, it doesn’t affect you. The new NERD policy only applies to graduates who haven’t been mobilized before October 6, 2025.

      Since you’ve already registered, even if you’re revalidating for Batch C, you’re not affected. You’ll simply revalidate and continue your NYSC process as usual.
