Latest news on NYSC Registration for 2026 Batch C Stream 1

NYSC REGISTRATION UPDATES – December 29, 2025

Happy holidays and welcome to another edition of the NYSC weekly recap with Local Man, the final one for the year. Because of the festivities, activities within the NYSC community were quite limited this past week but here are the key points from the latest NYSC registration updates.

  • The remobilization portal for absconded corps members is now closed. For now, we wait for NYSC to communicate the next line of action through official channels.
  • Looking ahead, NYSC has not released any official announcement on the next batch. However, there are strong indications that Batch A Stream 1 for 2026 may commence on January 22, 2026. We are still awaiting confirmation through the official NYSC updates as well as the complete NYSC calendar for year 2026.
  • NYSC state secretariats are expected to open this week for relocated corps members who are yet to complete documentation in their new states. Monthly clearance will most likely begin around January 5, 2026.
  • In the spirit of Christmas, corps members in Lagos donated items to orphanages and special needs homes to support children in need. This gesture once again highlights the community impact and service culture that NYSC continues to promote across the country.

NYSC Updates as at Monday, 22nd December, 2025

Compliment of the season distinguished honorables. Welcome to this week’s NYSC recap with Local Man. Let’s get into the key happenings making the rounds, including the latest news on NYSC registration and other official updates worth noting.

First, the NYSC remobilization portal was opened from December 16 to December 23. This update is for serving corps members who absconded from service and want to return to complete their program. As always, this falls under official NYSC updates and does not apply to fresh PCMs.

Moving on, the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 corps members officially passed out on Thursday 18th December 2025. With that phase completed, attention has shifted to what comes next. From all indications, the next set expected to be deployed to camp is the 2025 Batch C Stream 2, likely sometime in January. Nothing has been announced yet, but this remains the current NYSC registration update today for Batch C and the most talked about nysc news today on stream 2.

For PCMs who have registered but are yet to receive call up numbers, this waiting period is still normal. At this stage, patience is important while mobilization activities continue behind the scenes. More clarity should come as we get closer to deployment.

For those who have not registered at all, planning ahead is now the smart move. Attention should shift towards 2026 Batch A, as there will be no fresh online registration for Stream 2. This is an important part of the official NYSC updates 2026 that prospective corps members should keep in mind.

On the policy side, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Development, Dr Maryam Keshinro, expressed satisfaction with the current leadership of the NYSC. She also pledged to rally international support for the Scheme in the coming years.

In response, the NYSC Director General appreciated the support and shared some figures. He disclosed that the Scheme currently mobilizes about 400,000 corps members annually, with projections showing a rise to about 650,000 mobilizations from 2026.

To round off the week, a corps member of Anambra origin constructed and donated a borehole to his service community in Lagos State. It is another reminder that beyond announcements and numbers, corps members continue to make real impact through meaningful CDS projects across the country.

Prospective NYSC corps members checking official NYSC registration updates and latest news at a Nigerian state secretariat

NYSC Latest News as at Monday, 15th December 2025

Hello and welcome to another edition of the NYSC weekly recap with Local Man. Here’s a quick look at what happened across the NYSC space this past week, covering the latest news on NYSC registration and what qualifies as nysc news today for prospective and serving corps members.

The 2024 Batch C Stream 2 corps members will be passing out of service on Thursday 18 December 2025. This is the next general NYSC event and it is likely the last major one for the year, which makes it an important item in the latest news on nysc right now.

There is still no official date for the deployment of 2025 Batch C Stream 2 to camp. However, there are strong indications that it will happen in January. If you are following every nysc registration update, this is one area to keep an eye on as we move into the new year.

As part of preparations for next year, the National Education Repository Databank shared an official memo confirming that NERD clearance will not be required for NYSC Batch C Stream 2. Full enforcement is scheduled to begin with the 2026 Batch A stream, and this clarification forms part of the broader nysc registration update many have been asking about.

In addition, NERD announced that its portal will open on 6 January for Batch A onboarding. It is expected that new modalities will be introduced during this phase, making it another key point in nysc news today for those preparing ahead.

NYSC has also announced an overhaul of the SAED programme aimed at helping corps members acquire practical skills for self reliance. With the deployment of the two billion naira Bank of Industry fund and integration with 3MTT, the programme will now include newer skills such as AI and mobile app development, a move that reflects the direction of current policy discussions.

In other news, NYSC celebrated a corps member from Rivers State for equipping a school in Kwara State with a functional computer centre, a reminder that beyond policies and portals, impact at community level still matters.

Latest news on NERD onboarding – 9th December, 2025

The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank has issued an official clarification on how the new NERD compliance affects NYSC candidates. This update mainly concerns the transitional period and clears the confusion around Batch C and 2026 mobilization.

According to the notice, all NYSC candidates whose mobilisation process started before October 6 2025 are fully exempted from NERD compliance. This exemption covers the entire 2025 Batch C including Stream 1 and Stream 2 even though Stream 2 will go to camp in January 2026. NERD made it clear that Batch C remains Batch C regardless of stream and falls completely within the transitional window

NERD also confirmed that the onboarding portal will officially open on January 6, 2026. This registration window is strictly for 2026 Batch A prospective corps members. Students have been advised not to attempt any form of registration before that date because only entries made from the official start date will be recognised by the system

Institutions and school officials are however encouraged to log into their dashboards ahead of time to familiarise themselves with the validation tools. NERD also announced plans to roll out Digital Service Centres across all local governments to support enrolment and reduce data errors while creating thousands of ICT related jobs nationwide

For now the key takeaway is simple. If you are Batch C you are not affected. If you are targeting 2026 Batch A then the NERD onboarding portal becomes relevant from January 6 2026. These are the most important NYSC registration updates to keep in mind this week.

And that is the latest news on NYSC registration as it pertains to the NERD clearance slip. See you on the next one!

After weeks of waiting, the 2025 Batch C is now live on the NYSC portal. Prospective corps members can now confirm their details on the graduation list before registration opens.

Based on the mobilization timetable, submission of hard copies of the senate list begins today. This stage is handled by institutions, but once everything is verified, PCMs should be able to check their names on the senate list portal any moment from now. It’s another sign that NYSC Batch C 2025 registration is moving steadily according to schedule.

The passing-out date for 2024 Batch C Stream 1 has been shifted from November 6 to November 11, 2025. NYSC apologized for the change and any inconvenience it may cause. This new date also gives state secretariats more time to finalize documentation for outgoing corps members.

In Kogi State, a serving corps couple was rewarded with ₦500,000 after getting engaged during service. This is part of NYSC’s support for corps members who find love during their service year. The story has been trending as one of the lighter highlights in NYSC news today on Batch C.

In other news, the Ondo State Government has begun constructing a 216-bed hostel at the orientation camp in Ikare to reduce accommodation stress for future corps members. The project reflects the state’s effort to improve camp conditions before the next batch arrives.

Hello and welcome to a new week. Here’s your NYSC roundup for this past week, featuring the latest news on NYSC registration and other key updates for prospective corps members.

  • First off, the NERD compliance for NYSC Batch C 2025 has been waived. This decision came after several reports of timing and portal issues. Full enforcement will now begin with the 2026 Batch.
  • Schools have started uploading senate lists on the NYSC portal. The process runs from October 20 to 24, so if your name isn’t there or you notice any error, reach out to your Student Affairs Officer for correction. This is one of the most important steps in the NYSC mobilization update for this batch.
  • The NYSC registration portal will officially open on November 4, 2025. Only foreign-trained graduates and those whose details appear on the senate list can register. If your name is missing, wait for the next round of uploads before trying again.

  1. I am happy to join NYSC what spp my name is Jacob Michael a graduate of kadpoly as quantity surveying in 2022 waiting for nysc my name is in the Senate list right now waiting for the portal to open.

  2. My question is regarding batch B pcms that were unable to go to camp esp because of call-up number. You posted that they’ll be posted with the next batch which is batch C

My main question and doubt is on the date you posted before the portal is open for next batch registration. According to the to the date you posted/said, batch C1 will be going to camp by Sept. 23rd;- when will the call-up number be release??

    – With the registration starting the second of wk of sept(7th-13th), how’re they going to do the registration of the new batch and will the camp still be open by 23rd ???

    Thanks

    1. All I do is to guide PCMs and help them plan. It’s not my responsibility to take away their doubts. You can contact NYSC for official information or you wait for them to release it at their own timing.

  3. Victoria Ndubuisi

    1. BSC at 26 → You were eligible to serve at that time
    2. Skipped NYSC and went for MSC
    3. MSC finished at 30 → NYSC will still check your BSC graduation age

Because you were *under 30 when you got your BSC*, you were supposed to serve within 3 years of graduation. If you didn’t, you’ll be seen as a “defaulter”.
And no allowee for the person.
    How ture is this

  4. Victoria Ndubuisi

I want to know something. Please if someone was 26 at graduation and didn’t go for service and stayed 2 years and now wants to start his master’s now in 2026. Will he go for service after his master’s or will he be expected?

  5. I’ve been mobilized for NYSC but awaiting registration.
I’m also married, please I want to ask if it’s compulsory for me to do changing of names for registration before I can be posted to my husband’s place of residence. Because I’m yet to do changing of names

  6. Good morning sir
Still on the issue of having call up number but i didn’t get my call up letter. I’m worried, do you think there’s something i didnt do right ?… I’ve being waiting since Batch A . I wouldn’t want batch C to come along and i don’t get the call letter.

Is there a way you can help me out with this situation ?

  7. Good morning local Man. Pls I need to know if it’ll be a problem while registering for NYSC if my waec certificate and first school leaving certificate have the same names but different from my jamb and notification of result.
I mean instead of Rachael throughout at the end the two formers have RC. Is there how I can rectify this issue? Or it’s not necessary?

  8. I finished my Bsc. a long time ago, over 10years now, l just want to process my NYSC.

However, I have the hard copy of my project, which I need the soft copy for NERD. Can I scan the hard copy to make the soft copy, will it be acceptable?

  9. I registered April I was deployed with batch B1 I did not see my call up number because the payment they made did not go through for some reason I don’t know . I was worried when batch B2 got their call number that was when I notice the payment did not go through. I made another payment then I saw I was already deployed. Please I want to know when I can remobilze and if it’s possible to go with batch C ? . Thank you sir

  10. Good evening,I graduated 14_12-2017 my call up number shows 14_10_2017. I asked to contact my school, what nest?

    1. I don’t understand what you mean by “your call-up number shows…”
You should complain to your Student’s Affairs Officer if your date of graduation on the senate list does not tally with what you have on your certificate or statement of result.

  11. Sir, I made a mistake with my name during my NYSC registration. My name is supposed to be Simon Uchubiyo-Ojo David, but during registration I mistakenly entered it as Uchubiyoojo.

I applied for a name correction a while ago, but the change has not yet reflected. I also noticed that the same incorrect name appears on my Green Card.

Sir, do you have any idea what I can do to get this corrected?

    1. First of all you didn’t make any mistake. The NYSC system is designed to not recognize hyphenated names hence the removal of the hyphens. You’ve done what you should do and that is applying for correction on your dashboard. There’s nothing to worry about. Just proceed to camp, whether or not they approve the correction. When you get there, you can complain to them about it.

  12. Oluyemi imoleayo

    Good morning
Pls am a nursing mother but I register as single during nysc registration I want to know that will I report at any nysc camp near where I stay or report at where nysc post me to
Or is there any other things I can do

    1. Opeyemi Musiliudeen

Local man will Nysc give us ID card on camp that we corpers will wear on our neck because I forgot to buy ID card rope in the Market or there is no need to buy it again they, will the give us in camp

  13. Good evening sir
    Im confused sir
My sch senate has approved my name
And ive been trying to register but then i saw in the group that this batch b stream 2 is for those who registered march
Sir does that mean I cant register now again or its batch c i should prepare for sir
Please sir I need proper guidance

    1. There is no registration for now. As a matter of fact, NYSC is online registration cannot be a hidden information. Be patient on my WhatsApp Channel for updates.

  14. Ndibe Francis Chukwudi

Good day sir, please sir, i have questions. my school id expired 2024, can i still make use of it in the camp and please my second questions is that 2025, my department worked on my matric number, at the end of it , it is carrying (SD) for example 20/213334545SD is my matric number and is everywhere on my nysc portal and certificate apart from my school id, since it has expired 2024. my school id is carrying 20/213334545 without the SD, before the change. do i need to renew my id card before going to camp or i can carry it like that to camp?

  15. Good afternoon, Local Man. Great work you’ve been doing.

During registration, I entered “M” (male) for the gender section. However, on the website where I’m to check my call up number and other details, which I’m yet to receive, I saw “F” (female), displayed there. The issue therefore is that the “M” is still visible on the registration page, except for the other page, which suggests that there has been some issue on the portal

I also want to make an inquiry about the call up number. I registered on Friday, April 10th, 2026 during the late registration window. Since the release of the call up numbers this week, I am yet to receive mine. Is the late registration the cause of the delay or is it the gender error that appears to be the reason?

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

    1. While it’s not a big deal there is option for gender correction on your dashboard. Use it…
Not seeing call-up number has nothing to do with gender mistake. Be patient.

  16. Hello,good morning

Please I’d like find out the documents I need to take camp as a married woman who registered for NYSC as single because I was still single at the time.
Can you also help provide some of things needed?

    Thank you

  17. Good morning local man,
    Trust you’re doing well.

I tried printing my NYSC document on my portal and I noticed you the day of my date of birth is inaccurate.
I haven’t had any issues with my date of birth since secondary school thus why I was unbothered about the date of birth correction.

But as it stands so, can I still make the corrections as I just received my call up number?

I have my waec certificate with me..

  18. I have been trying to log into my portal for weeks but it has been showing “access forbidden access denied”

  19. Good evening local man, sorry I don’t have the link to the page where I could post this question to: please I was given call up number and letter for Batch B stream 1 and was deployed to Ekiti state, but couldn’t register on time due to discrepancy with my certificate. When everything was corrected the portal had closed before I could begin thumb printing. Before leaving the camp the NYSC registration coordinator had advised to drop my call up letter with them so I can be mobilized with Batch B stream II. So now I checked my dashboard and the previous call up my and letter is still on my dashboard, please should there be a reason for me to be worried, or is there anything I should be doing?

  20. Good evening local man
I’m a foreign graduate and have successfully been cleared both online and physical verification
It’s reflecting cleared on my Status
But somewhere in my dashboard is still showing I haven’t been cleared online
Is this a challenge and I won’t get call up number?

  21. Good evening Local man
I follow your updates which are always easy to comprehend and follow through.
I was posted to Lagos camp in June but was sent back home because of thumbprint issue (though not the only one)
Before we were sent home, we were asked to write a letter directing it to abuja for rethumbprint
Then on Thursday our dashboard was asking us to thumbprint which we did and the dashboard remained with call up number and letter (the old one)
Now this evening, the call up letter is no longer showing.

Pls what I want to ask is are we going to do revalidation when the portal opens or if we will be given a new call up letter

  22. Concerning BVN and NYSC account opening
My name on my NIN and other school certificates is Val-Obi Favour Onyinyechi and on my BVN is ValObi Favour Onyinyechi.
Is this going to be a problem?

  23. Thankgod Obadiah

Sir I got your number from your WhatsApp group,I had issue with my jamb,I graduated 2024 but I wasn’t mobilised because I had three names on my result while my jamb is carrying two Names so I was directed to go to jamb office and rectify the issue which I did and was giving a slip to take to school and I also did right now am confused and worried at the same time if am going to receive anything again or better said how am I going to know if it worked or am I going to mobilised

    1. Be following up with your school about mobilization updates. If they don’t complain about the name again, it means you’ll be mobilized when next they are sending their list of graduates to NYSC.

  24. Good morning local man I’m Timi from osun state, I was deployed in June 2026 for nusc batch b stream 1 but due to a chronic health issue I didn’t report to camp but now I’m fine pls what can I do for me to be mobilised in this coming batch b stream 2. I am even thinking of going to nysc secretariat at Osogbo if anything can be done to it.

    1. Same answer given to Glory. If you’re able to login to your dashboard when they release call-up number for Stream 2, you can do direct posting to get called up again with them.

  25. Good morning Local man, I registered last year in November but when I did not get a call-up letter I just forgot about it, I checked yesterday and realised I was mobilised in Batch B (10 June), what do I do concerning this do I remobilise or wait?

    1. Be patient for this Stream. If you’re able to login to your dashboard when they release call-up number for Stream 2, you can do direct posting to get called up again with them.

  26. Good evening sir, please i need some clarity on this issue,so my school has released the Senate list and my name was spelled wrongly RACHAEL but the correct spelling is RACHEAL.pleas i want to know will it be a problem when i do the online registration

  27. Hello, good afternoon sir… I have a question sir, my SOR was given to me exactly a year ago this month, I wanted to ask if I can still take it to camp to use cause people were saying that you can’t use it cause its just for a year. I don’t want to be sent home when I get to camp hence the reason for my question sir.

  28. ADEYEMI, ADETILEWA HYRENE

Good afternoon, Local man. Well done for the the work. God bless you.

Please those that missed the online on-camp registration for very cogent reasons, though showed up on camp, but was six days late and was told the registration had closed. Please, should I do now?
I await your response the email address above.
    Thanks so much.

      1. Hello Local man,

I mobilized last year November for NYSC and was posted in batch A1 2026 to BORNO. But I didn’t report to camp due to distance and risk.

Since then, I haven’t been able to access my dashboard, I’ve tried changing password yet same issue.

I dropped the question on your telegram channel on what to do about this issue and I’ve been getting lots of Dms that I should revalidate.

Some even said they do revalidation. That they have someone in Abuja who can unblock my dashboard which will require money.

I decided to notify you first before making any decisions because, I’ve been on your WhatsApp group since last year and have gotten sincere updates.

What should I do? I want to serve.

        1. It’s good that you dropped it here because those guys will just scam you. I would have asked you to be patient for NYSC to give you access back to your dashboard but November is a long time to have been waiting for resolution. I’d advise you visit the nearest NYSC secretariat for help.

Meanwhile, I included the Helplines of NYSC support for issues relating to PCMs. You can check it out.

  29. Akinwumi Kayode

    Good afternoon sir,
    Happy Sunday sir.

Thank you so much for the well presented explanation you just made for us on the channel.

Please sir, I want to ask that, would NYSC going to open portal for fresh registration for Batch B2 in July?

Though, am aware that there are still much registered people on ground that would still be considered.

Is it likely for fresh registration next month?

    Thank you sir.

  30. Please, if the date on my nin is not tally with that on my waec for regularization, will it have any effect in camp during screening?

  36. Good evening Local man
I’m a PCM, I registered in march and I have gotten my call up number and by God’s grace, I will get my call up letter soon.

The problem is that, I was the Best Graduating student in my department and faculty, and they just sent me an email demanding I should be in school on the 23rd of June, because there’s a very big event that day and they have decided to give me a special recognition and award that day.
But by then, I will be in camp, can I leave camp with the help of my platoon officer to attend the award giving day and come back the next day?
Please I need your advice on this
I’m in Anambra but I have done direct posting through the help of my uncle to Delta State
    Thanks so much 🙌

    1. Congratulations on this laudable feat. Wish you many more accomplishments ahead.

Yes, you can talk to your platoon officer about it if you have proof of course. I don’t think they will want to deny you that moment.

    Good evening Sir
Please I have a question it’s really urgent.
The thing is my NERD status was showing pending since last month but getting to today it just changed to Partial, and according to you we should take it to our school student affairs so they can do the needful. My worry now is since today is Friday and I saw it late in the evening if not I would have gone to the school to address it, and tomorrow which is Saturday offices won’t be open so if I wait till Monday and sort it out will I still get call up letter to go for camp with this set?
Also the T&C message doesn’t pop up whenever I login to my page?

    1. Sorry, I can’t remember telling anyone to take anything to anywhere. What I said about the NERD status was that I believe it will change to successful after documentation at the orientation camp.

  40. Good afternoon sir. Please I have original certificate but I can only get scanned photocard because I live in Abuja and schooled in Lagos. Would it be a problem during camp registration?

  41. Good evening, local man
My name on my NYSC dashboard was showing Simon-Anyebe Josiah Ofuowoicho instead of Simon-Anyebe Josiah Ofu-owoicho, I applied for correction of the name. It has been approved but now it’s showing Simonanyebe Josiah Ofuowoicho.
Please is there a way to correct it???

  42. Good morning sir
Please I want to ask if the call up letter released yesterday is just for single people sir? Coz most of us that are married have not yet seen our call up number sir.
    Thank you sir 🙏
